  1. If Goa thinks you can run a football club and never spend any money because some of the signings made previously haven't worked out then we are f*cked.
  2. Read eggs post a few up about if you were Goas advisors would you advise him to spend money considering how bad some of the others have been.
  3. It’s been said on this thread pal
  4. Mike Ashley have spent £120m than Newcastle have made from sales in the same period we’ve made a profit yet he’s hated by Newcastle fans. our lot say that Goa is right we shouldn’t sign anyone else as the last few didn’t work out.
  5. The people who signed those players have all gone. The people running the club now are there, you would hope, with Goas approval, if not what’s he doing as he’s been here two and half years. So if that’s the case the question is does he trust them or not? Or maybe we should never sign anyone in case they don’t work out.
  6. Why does it have to be that extreme? Why can’t we compete with Watford, Crystal Palace, Brighton and Bournemouth in the transfer market?
  7. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/17475320.southampton-football-clubs-accounts-for-the-year-ending-june-2018-are-released/ Whereas we’ve made a £78m pre tax profit last two accounting years but need to sell to buy players the only club that has to do so.
  8. Everyone has outspent us, we are the only club to make a profit from transfers in the last 5 years, but don't forget unlike all the other clubs you mention we have to bonuses, NI contributions, Agent fees and running costs.
  9. Mel and Kims 80s hit, respectable Sell to buy dont question why We always gotta be sustainable
  10. Very good - last line maybe "being inclusive the Southampton way. The saints voice, woooohoooo The saints voice woooohooooo If you want a beer you're not welcome here
  11. Sweet Bruv, (I hope you don't mind me assuming your gender?) just moving with the times How about a simple "We are an inclusive club" to the tune of the old Paulo Di Canio song?
  12. I think they need to be more inclusive When I was young I had some sense I got a sex change for 50 pence the self righteous words that I would say Was "im no-specific gender today" With Woke in my heart keep me fluid With WOke in my heart i say With Woke in my heart keep me fluid Keep me fluid 'til my dying day No Surrender, No Surrender, No Surrender to the anti-gay (SCUM!) No Surrender, No surrender, No Surrender to anti-gay We dont harry hatchets, we dont carry led We only carry foams hands, to pat you on the head We are Southampton fans, bantologists one and all We are Southampton fans we love you all Come and have a chat if you think you're WOKE enough When i was just a little child, i asked my non specific gender parent what should i be?
  13. Our social media posts and virtue signaling is a match for any club though.
  14. I don’t know about you but I’m just glad we’ve still got a club to support. Remember where we were 11 years ago.
  15. They’d say it’s great move because we doubled made a profit on him, it was a great bit of business. It doesn’t matter that we don’t replace him as we can use academy players and there is no value to be had in January.
  16. It was obviously 5 v 2, it was pathetic defending, couldn’t deal with Traore, but then we do struggle against power, then 3 players ball watching leaving Jiminez totally unmarked 10 yards out, not really sure how anyone can excuse it.
  17. It was predictive text. You do know a game doesn’t finish until the final whistle don’t you? So the live table is irrelevant. I know on your computer games you can turn the game off and restart it if you’re losing but real games don’t work like that.
  18. It wasn’t a bad performance, it was sh1t defending again. A player has time to miscontrol it and still turn and shoot inside the six yard box Two crap challenges for the penalty Played onside for the third.
  19. Really? How long have you been a saints fan?
  20. It’s not home though is it.
  21. Good job we don’t need to strengthen the squad
  22. It’s okay, we don’t need to strengthen Keep playing it cool guys.
  23. It’s also consistent with Goas strategy of doing the minimum possible to stay up. Looks like we’re okay this season, we’d have to go on a terrible run to go down now so sod it that we’re still weak in at least 4 positions, I really don’t see what has changed in the last week for Ralph to now think everything is okay and we don’t need the players he’s said for Months we do. I also don’t buy this public playing it “nice and cool Rodney” works, agents, players and clubs know the truth so they’ll be in contact with other clubs. Ralph giving a press conference to suggest we aren’t that bothered at more might get the cheer leaders excited but it doesn’t wash with anyone with any sense.
  24. Exactly, no one is getting angry that’s it’s not different, people are just saying it’s been the same for years. What is crazy is that there are some people pretending it isn’t.
  25. either the club it attempting to pull the wool over our eyes or it is spectacularly incompetent. The reason being every January transfer window is the same, we sold Van Dijk, bad news, lots of big talk, loads of proven premier league players linked, we ended up signing Carrillo and no one else we mentioned. Last year after a poor start, bad news big talk of reshuffle, talk of bringing in a new DOF, Mitchell named as one we wanted, nothing happened. This year, lose 9-0 at home, bad news, so we see talk of a new DOF and transfer expert to come in, we would sign full backs and Centre back, so far, Jack sh1t once again. You might chose to think we’re playing it cool, well given the performance in all areas of the club since January 2016 that’s certainly the wrong strategy, so either it’s incompetence or misleading us, in truth probably a bit of both.
