It does seem a bit of a token offer. If you really valued someone as a key plauer you don't wait until they only have a few months left before offering one. Couldn't blame him for wanting to go somewhere he would start every week and possibly get a pay rise. Hopefully he will stay though.

Out for 3-4 weeks according to the usually reliable Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur (@HLNinEngeland). Not the worst case news I guess. Could only miss 3 league games.
-
Cork only played 45mins tonight so either he is still a way off the first team or perhaps he could figure on Wednesday?
-
Both Swindon wing backs, Byrne and Toffolo are impressive.
-
Great goal Swindon. They are a decent side, play nice passing football. Been an absolutely brilliant loan spell for both those lads, playing every week in a team that could go top tonight.
-
Both starting as CB in a back 3 (as ever) for Swindon away to Coventry tonight, live on Sky.
-
MLG passing it off as his own on Twitter. Poor form.
-
Mick McCarthy said they have 3 midfielders out with a virus and as they have Saturday and Wednesday games for a few weeks and a small squad that he will make changes again and play a similar team to the first game i.e not their strongest.

Of course, its been a brilliant season. I still feel the early part of the summer was pretty shambolic, but Koeman was the turning point. Got to go for it from here, will never have a better chance and plans should have a degree of flex to suit circumstances. Also agree with Bearsy re the contracts of keys players. Whilst the likes of Fonte, Davis and Yoshida have signed new deals it would be great to secure one of the more sought after players on a longer deal.
-
Would do this also. No poor players in that lineup, £20m front 3 should have enough.
-
Plus, you can just get a few loans in. Lots of players will be gagging to play in the PL and for a top 4 challenger. Loan striker, RB and GK surely not excessive? But we will probs just get one more in, the Club have theirs plans and csn understand that *****il Forster misses any games).
-
Yes. Never going to have a better chance for CL football. Would get a cover RB, Striker and depending how long Toby is out for, a CB. Could also make argument for a better back up GK if you wanted to cover all weaknesses.
-
Hooiveld not even good enough to figure for a mediocre Norwich. Not coming back here, we have moved on.
-
Its better when opposition Managers and Players give no creeit after the game because its a sign they see you as a threat and an annoyance rather than a small club that can be patronised!
-
Koeman said "hamstring injury and normally he will be out for a long time."
-
Pics on Twitter of him leaving OT on crutches, but that is fairly common for any injury.
-
You can't tell just by looling at him. Seemed like a hamstring or thigh injury, but the only certainty is we will miss him a lot and it leaves us short with Yoshida away. Imagine Toby will need a scan before they know much.
-
He will get a run of starts now too you would imagine with Toby's injury.
-
Was excellent today.
-
Amazing. Great performance. Everyone did really well but I thought Gardos was great in a tough game and when you arent prepared to start. Koeman tactics spot on! On negative is the Toby injury and IMO squad size is all that will stop us doing something great this season.
-
Obviously not about that, but the timing. As Maya says here, its not ideal for Asian players. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30768273
-
Terrible timing for Yoshida to be playing a mickey mouse cup too.
-
Most from set plays or wide areas. Not from a no 10 position. In one of our rare breaks just before HT he broke through, was 1 v 1 with their CB then just turned back into him. Got to make more of those type of scenarios if you are playing in that position on the counter. Does a good job for the team tactically but at the expense of any flair.
-
Tactical game. Good half from us but the player in JWP's position has to impact our attacking game more otherwise there is no support for Pelle. JWP is a good player but not in that role as has no attacking instinct at all.
-
Maybe, but overall from open play I don't see great attacking instincts. Excellent player, but not someone who worries an opponent IMO from an attacking perspective.
