Yep, first quotes I have seen about it. Certainly seems like a good character to keep.

With key signings ultimately making the difference. Will need similar this time.

If one improvement could be made to the ground
Saint Charlie replied to ladysaint's topic in The Saints
The footbridge is a pain. -
Seems the most likely outcome at the moment and wouldn't be disasterous. Will be interesting to see whether the Club will just let him run his deal down and put up with the uncertainty that brings. Tough scenario for them.
-
True. But he has already played in a domestic final and is set to play in a European final on Wednesday. That, plus a bigger pay packet, would probably make him feel it was a good move.
-
I'm not sure Koeman likes Wanyama and Romeu together. The few times he has gone for it Koeman has often made a change at HT.
-
Probably "well he is bound to say that."
-
Definitely sounded more likely than ever before in that interview.
-
What a boost it would be if we could get him to sign a new deal.
-
@bigadamsport: #saintsfc Ronald Koeman just told me that he is not interested in Everton job & intends to honour his contract #efc
-
He seems more keen almost on staying today than in the presser last week. He said he will speak to the club next week and get everything sorted (re future) before he goes on holiday. Sounds promising.
-
Think Bertrand signed a 4.5 year deal last Jan also so has quite a bit of time left which helps.
-
Interesting on the Snapchat video that Forster pronounces his name as "Foster" not "Forster".

@CPFC: AP: "Joe Ledley's injury has been a blow to us this week. There's one or to we need to protect for this fixture." @CPFC: AP: "Wilf is not going to make this fixture and we'll have to wait and see if he makes the cup final." @CPFC: AP: "Southampton are a superb club with supporters that trust the team and manager. They're the form team in the PL at the moment." @CPFC: AP: "Sunday is a big game for us because the four place swing is a lot of prize money. There's been no problem with focus." @CPFC: AP: "I don't think anyone underestimates Southampton. The CEO and manager are experienced and we are envious of their facilities"

Great thing about Forster and VVD contracts (more so than Davis, Fonte, Yoshida before) is they will definitely have had interest so big coup that they feel they can progress more with Saints, even if not for the full 5/6 years. Much better working this way and should avoid the Clyne, Wanyama scenarios of players running their deals down. Good learning from Les!

Another coherent post.
-
I don't think Koeman will go to Everton anyway. All I did was mention the possibility which is also what virtually every national paper has on their back page today. Read the OP - nothing wrong with it whatsoever!
-
Apart from my posts on both the contract threads! Haha. Forster especially is fantastic news.

James Ward-Prowse signs new six-year deal with Saints
Saint Charlie replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Good news. Hopefully he can kick on now. -
Haha, wish it were them instead to be honest. JWP only signed a new 5 year deal recently and hasn't done a lot since then!
-
Brilliant news. Good work from the club to get it sorted and a well deserved pay rise I am sure.
-
Again, FWIW: John Richardson (often on Sunday Supplement): @riccosrant: Everton to make their official move for Ronald Koeman as soon as the season is over.
-
Whoever we get in, it would be a massive blow for Koeman to perceive Everton as a better option just now than Saints. That would be more annoying than when Pochettino left for me, because of the destination and current performance of the two clubs. Hopefully his chats with Reed go well and Krueger leaves them to it - he is so cringeworthy talking about football. But ultimately it comes down to money and how much Saints are willing to put in.
