Hughes said he trained and should be fine.
-
From the sounds of what Poch said today he hasn't spoken a lot about the future of the club, or his future with the hierarchy. Is this not a little worrying, amidst talk of interest in him from other teams? I know he said he was relaxed about it, which understandable considering his position. Saints however, should not be relaxed. They should be trying all they can to tie him down longer term. In football you can quickly gain and quickly lose momentum, and whilst things on the pitch are good, drifting off it will quickly catch up with you. "Its a period of reorganisation", he said. Lets hope its a quick one.

Obviously still in a rehab phase as those three have all been injured but has to be good news.
-
Fan talking in ambulance. Good news.
-
Well thats a new low point for football undrstanding, Tim. Wasn't it Gary Neville who said earlier this season that Poch would turn one of our top sides into a Barca or Bayern quality team playing the same style that we do, but with better players?
-
West Ham, Fulham, Norwich. Has anyone seen Norwich's run-in? Their last four games are: Liverpool Home Man Utd Away Chelsea Away Arsenal Home March is key for them, as have mostly winnable games.
-
The players certianly love playing for him, and he has improved some a hell of a lot i.e Lallana, Jay, Fonte etc Really top Manager. WOuld be gutted if he went and hope that KL et al realise how good he is.
-
Got to enjoy these sort of games. Could be quite different next season potentially.
-
Got to get his contract sorted. Can't let a Manager of this quality leave, especially not whilst we have such a good squad.

saints to win race to sign Jamie Vardy
Saint Charlie replied to alderholt saints's topic in The Saints
We asked about Vardy on deadline day according to Telegraph reporter John Percy: Belated transfer deadline news - Southampton made an inquiry for #lcfc striker Jamie Vardy on Friday but were told not for sale at any price -
Woeful journalist. But what do you expect from someone in the South who chooses to support Man Utd.
-
Was thinking the other day how good it would be if we sacked Poch and gave Jos the job.
-
I imagine the WH Owner's Son asking WH fans on Twitter yesterday to tweet the FA about the decision won't have gone down well too. Poor show from a laughable club.
-
Right decision - clear intent in his face, and didnt need to react like that anyway.
-
Not on current form, because MP has got the best out of the players. They love working with him and if a new Manager came in it would have a big impact.
-
Got to keep Pochettino. This will be the first major test. If he goes then theres no chance we will be anywhere near as good next season. He has maximised potential in all players and developed a clear team spirit. Will be a sad day if he goes. Will be more gutting than when Shaw goes.
-
7m or thereabouts would have been a fair price. A very good price for us.
-
Was a nice touch inviting Forte to travel with the squad.
-
What did he say?
-
Shaw will clearly go. Will be very hard to keep hold of Schneiderlin and Lallana's loyalty will be tested. Key is the ambitions of the club and whether they will be enough to persuade our better players to stay. From what we have seen and heard so far I doubt they will. Could be big changes. In theory 7 or 8 of our players could be at bigger clubs. Once a couple go, more will. Im going to enjoy the rest of this season because most likely we won't be this good next year. Oh, and if we don't fight bloody hard to keep Pochettino then I will be annoyed. He is crucial.

Is he actually our most bizarre permanent signing ever? Clearly a woeful player. Lacks any kind of self confidence judging by his interviews when he joined and seemed scared of the interviewer. S****horpe happy to let him go and we offered him a 3 year deal when we didnt even need him at the time and were very likely to be promoted. Probably only started about 3 league games for us and was clearly out of his depth. Know from someone at Eastleigh that he was offered to them on loan this week with us paying all his wages and they said no as they would rather start Jai Reason and Forte would be a sub so it wasn't worth it. I know other players have signed and not worked out but at least you can see in theory why we signed them.
-
We are definitely weaker as a squad. Not necessarily the first team, but going forward we are so hugely overreliant on Rodriguez and Lallana. Scarily so.

Confirmed SWF ITK K,Billy's supersound on the VMAN thread: no one is comming in so don't spend all day smashing the F5 on your keyboards, go out and live your lives. We have cleared the decks and have money in the bank ready to go in the summer when prices are not ott and players are more willing to leave . COYRS

Probably, but they seem do a lot of the fitness testing in pre season etc at Solent.
