Not really sure what the issue is with Fox. Cracking cross for Jay Rod the other day and a Vitesse fan I spoke to said Buttner's weakness was his poor final ball, not ideal when we have Jay, RL, Sharp who will get goals with good service.

Good signing - like our business so far. Will be interesting to see if a third keeper comes in, probably to play with the development squad.

Who knows - they probably get told stuff with a caveat of when it should come out, especially by agents. This does seem to be true though, there is probably a deal to be done at the right price, and if the player likes the sound of a move.

Graeme Bailey the Sky reporter said this deal is the "exciting" one that he talked about a couple of weeks ago.

Clearly not happening and with the emergence of Shaw it might not be a bad thing.

Players have worked hard to get to the prem...think you would find most would be reluctant to leave even if they know they won't be a first choice.

Suprised nobody mentioned this after the Liebherr Cup but we marked zonally on corners. Adkins mentioned this again last night saying that had practised it. Not sure what people's thoughts are but it seems every team who has tried it has messed it up, im sure it can work well at times but i felt we defended corners very well last season on the whole and seems little point changing (not saying we will) from man to man marking. Thoughts?

Accurate summary I would say. Only thing is that most of the players we had in those years were good solid prem players for most of their career, we have little top flight experience. We also always seemed to have a striker that got goals, will be important for one of ours to get 15 and the others to back up.

I also picked up on that. Seems like he has a good attitude, great signing. Its all about quality over quantity - like our business this summer.

Is he any better than Forte? Don't forget those important two yard tap ins vs MK Dons. Forte is as important as Cortese in the rise of the club, without those goals we would be playing Crawley next year.

We seem to be looking towards Holland for some deals - this guy was in the Dutch prelim squad as with Buttner but didn't make their final squad. Seems what we need, a versatile attacker who could play in a few different systems.

Be suprised if more than one of Lambert, Jay and Sharp start the game.
