A pacy striker with composure would be a great addition and will need a good winger when Chamberlain leaves. A quality partner for Fonte and a good centre midfielder and that would be a good start. As Norwich and Leeds have proven, its addig quality to what you have that is the best move, not quantity for the sake of it.

He played it simple and was calm on the ball which is what we need out of a central midfielder. Would start him instead of Chaplow (who needs a wake up call) on Tuesday.

To think Adkins dared to say he wanted to win the league. In his last interview on Saints Player he was very complimentary about Brighton. Not sure what their fans really expected him to say, 'Well with 30 games to go I would settle for anything below Brighton. They have beaten us 0-0 tonight and are a fantastic team who should be in the Champions League. I wish I managed them.' Total overreaction.
