whilst we all have angst when we play can we agree that our forward line at least is not clinical enough for the premier league or europe. With Long/Redmond/Jayrod/Austin up top Charlie is the only killer, the rest are "stretch them" type forwards, that is why I at least get frustrated. Is Sam Gallagher a lesser option ? I like all our forwards especially Long but I like goals more

JWP is not a shuttler in that position, I'd prefer he swap with Pierre and sit in as DM, think that would be a better fit.

Not sure about their centre backs (Toure is one) but I am onboard with Dembele, still not the finished EPL proven player that the big boys would buy but someone who could interest us. Not seen enough myself but the feedback is generally positive although Scott Sinclair is having a good season up there as well.... hmmmm

Based on your vitriolic posts when Mane first played for us in his 1st season I would say Boufal is miles ahead of him in the few games he has played and Saturday was his first PL start against the top of the table side. Lets maybe judge replacements at the end of the year, Mane got 10 goals and 3 assists in 24 games in 2014 season and most of those were in the 2nd half of the seaon. Boufal will play less due to Afcon but if he can get a minimum of 8 goals this season I will be happy, his stats for Lille last season were 11 goals and 4 assists in 27 games so he looks like he can do it.

We have struggled to score from midfield for 3-4 seasons now. I don't think its down to the forwards, Zlatan has just had a goal drought and he is a quality striker. We need goals from other areas i.e midfield. I'd take Hatem Ben Arfa on loan (subsidised wages) from PSG with an option to buy. Have him top of the diamond and Davis/Hojberg as the shuttlers as they both go forward as their first instinct
