The problem with that is perception, the rest of the team don't care they just see a bloke who is potentially worse than them being paid f*ck loads. If that 150k + is true then Rodgers is gonna have a lot of people coming to him.
-
Makes sense, he is their 5th best rated player and scored 5 goals and assisted 3 so perfect Liverpool signing hahahaha

I keep working by the mantra that if I say it enough it will happen. If I had to choose who would make the biggest difference to us then Wijnaldum would exponentially improve our Attacking Midfielders of (Davis/JWP/Djurcic/Gaston) and thus our team. He has pace, assists and an eye for a goal, I would spend 15mil on him without blinking if we got 25mil for Morgan purely on the goals he scores and makes from a position we hardly get anything from offensively. Stats this season- 14 goals & 3 assists including Europe - http://www.whoscored.com/Players/33568 I think it would be a good step for him, he gets a pay rise and plays on a bigger stage and can prove himself to the big 4 here and bigger teams abroad. The only concern is the CL opportunity with Italian/Portuguese/Spanish clubs where he would also make a difference but perhaps not get paid as well.

It all depends what sort of guy each player is. For instance, if I was a footballer I would value quality of life and enjoyment as much as the money on offer. Pay me 1000 a day and have to work on an oil rig or pay me 500 and I work where I live and I will choose where i live as I get to enjoy my life more. The only thing that fecks it up are agents as they would sell you to Bagdad United for enough money. -
no pants then

He should just say his dream was to earn 50k per week rather than mention a club.

Top 10 dirtest players in this season PL
Convict Colony replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
That list in itself is retarded. The nature of what they are measuring means that the dirtiest players i.e those with straight reds get 3 match ban so it takes fair bit out of their playing time (sissosko 6 games without looking at yellows), where as vic made more fouls as he nearly squeaked by the entire season without getting banned so played more games hence racked up more points. A better way would be to work out points to game ratios, calling MLG -
I have watched him 6-7 times this season and for 12 mil I would be all over that like a playboy model asking if I can fit their thong for them. Jordie Claise is very very good, excellent leader and more importantly will be one of those players who if they go to porto or italy for 2 yrs will cost double the price once his value is proved. He is a warrior with more finesse than Vic and can move forward a la morgan to set up chances and score goals. I also rate Vilhena though I think he is a longer term project than Jordy whose ready made now.

Agreed for anyone interested look up Sabermetrics, i have chuckled at the moneyball interpretations on here though

Exhibit A

Like all good Daleks our one is not prone to emotional outbursts and is consistently on message every game of every season. He is a lot more stable than most of the posters on here.
-
Long gives us a lot of freekicks, corners and throw ins, I would love to know how many freekicks, corners, penalties or throw in's he accrues in a season compared to other players. I really think he is a moneyball player and every now and again he scores but his asset is to provide more opportunities for other players to score via his movement/pressing.

I just love the way judging by his voice he should be supporting west ham
-
sorry last one, this guy just called Talksport crying and calling Liverpool gods on earth and he would die for Liverpool.

To Liverpool for this seasons entertainment but mostly for the massive amount of money of Lovren and Lallana and having a comedy manager and the most "knowledgable fans" in the premier league.

Rdogers the gift that keeps giving "Defending is not hard to coach. It's very easy to set a team up to defend." Brendan Rodgers.
