Think we are the safety bird for Jay Rod while he is eyeing up that stunning beauty who may or may not make his night, if the lights go up at 2am and he has failed then he is off back to his safety bird.

We need one of the Feyanoord guys in here but what I can tell the manager prefers Lex Immers over Vilhena (both playing attacking midfielder) I think El Ahmadi is playing the Vic+Morgan role in a tandem with Clasie. In his appearances this season as either a sub or starting the majority have seen him play in the front 3 on either wing so potentially he could solve our right side of the front 3 which we currently shove Tadic/JWP into as well as a goal scoring AM. Immers looks to be their AM and as I said Karim and Jordie their Vic/Morgan tandem. I think if the price is right, the fact he has represented Holland at every level and had his best season under Koeman and was on the verge of going to the world cup under Van Gaal last year is good enough for me for 3-4 mil.

I see this comment over and over again and it is purely down to how the new manager likes to play and the type of players he has "confidence" in. Vilhena scored 6 goals and made 7 assists in the season before (think he was 19) when Koeman was the boss and won MOM twice that season. Drop a guy who has played a world cup final, been called into the dutch squad and scored more than both our ATTACKING midfielders combined in the half a season he has been here.

Enthusiasm can make a big difference for inexperience, look at the Everton home game when we played arguably our weakest team of the season. Pelle is not worth his place on current form, change the formation and play someone else, neither is steve davis or tadic. We need something different as the stark reality is we have not looked like scoring a lot in many of the games over the last couple of months. Our DEFENSIVE midfielders has scored way more than would ever be expected in other teams whilst our ATTACKING midfielders have done fark all. Using capitals makes me feel important :-)

I would just say for the money he cost Steve Davis has been brilliant but we need the occasional goal to really nail down that position his one weakness.

Preach brother preach. All I want for next season is an AM who scores goals. Phrases like "good work" "unseen job" are phrases to describe someone who cannot score a goal, something which is the basic function of their job. In no particular order of random AM's we could afford in fee and wages: Winjaldum Vilhena Myer (Schalke) Piazon Just to name a few.
