CONFIRMED - Virgil Van Dijk joins on Five Year Deal
Convict Colony replied to Brizzie Saints's topic in The Saints
To be fair to Odegaard I remember reading a while back he signed for Real above everyone else because they put it in his contract he would be training with the first team and not with a junior team. They then subsequently changed their mind when he started playing for their B team and wanted him to train with the B team instead to obviously integrate better. From his perspective I'd of done the same thing, train and learn from the best which was the primary driver for signing or train and play with B team a level he has probably outgrown. -

Yeah I'm gonna change mine to either Mane or Virgil -
I'd be surprised if Willy Mckay got him over as these blokes rep the cream de la creme and are still listed as his agents - http://www.transfermarkt.com/mondial-sport-management-amp-consulting-sarl/beraterfirma/berater/2106 Maybe Willy is taking a cut of the %

CONFIRMED - Virgil Van Dijk joins on Five Year Deal
Convict Colony replied to Brizzie Saints's topic in The Saints
"The transfer of Virgil van Dijk to the Premier League is really about to be completed. According to the Algemeen Dagblad sign the defender Monday as god as surely a contract with Southampton. Sunday arrived the Celtic player in the English port to reach a personal agreement with the clbu manager Ronald Koeman. Meanwhile Southampton nearing an agreement with Celtic over the transfer of Van Dijk. The Scottish club initially asked a price that would not put on the table English colleagues. Celtic put in a "bidding war" during the final days of the transfer market, but Southampton appears the only remaining club to Van Dijk. That makes the conclusion of an agreement for Koeman easier. Van Dijk played two seasons for Celtic, which took him to FC Groningen." http://www.voetbalprimeur.nl/nieuws/452710/-transfer-van-dijk-nu-echt-bijna-rond-verdediger-arriveert-in-engeland-.html I would also point out Van Dijk follows that news source so it must be credible. -

"Ulrich van Gobbel is currently on the run from the Dutch Police after he was issued with a 4 month prison sentence for buying cars on credit and then selling them on without paying the original car company. Police believe him to be hiding in his native Suriname." -
This, I thought his appearance the other night bode well and him now playing where he prefers gives him confidence.

Yeah I agree with this, he has looked the more error prone so far this season in my opinion, from loose passes to being caught out by the attackers he is on the backfoot. Anyway hopefully training against Ronaldo for a week or so should sharpen him up and to quote Toby's comment the other week, hopefully having a proper defensive partnership in-front of him should help tighten up the midfield.

I think I have finally worked it out. After last nights attempt I think our team are aiming to start playing like this, hence caulker was practicing last night.

Think it might be better to compare certain players after a couple of months, i remember dennis bergkamp being slated by arsenal fans until his hat-trick against us in Nov. New players to our league generally need time to adapt, look back a few weeks ago and you were all raving about cedric now he's ****** ?? Clasie has been injured and will take a while to adapt as well. Juanmi is adapting via the under 21 route but needs time. The overwhelming problem currently is our lack of ability to create chances from our midfield meaning an over reliance on our full backs one who is new and the other a young bloke so maybe lets chill a bit and try and look that those above will get better. I liked Caulker's work in the watford game I thought he played really well at both ends of the pitch (he looked most like scoring) but didn't get into the game expect to launch forward balls last night. You can be the best player in the world but if your not getting picked or being played out of position with inferior tactics then thats down to the manager not the player.

Calling this a blessing in disguise is giving us an excuse for failure.

I just want an upgrade on Davis/JWP, they can't score in a brothel
