and how it rates his playing style He appears to be a versatile and technically gifted midfielder with several key attributes: Playmaking and Vision: O'Riley is known for his key passes, which is listed as one of his strong characteristics. [1] He possesses inventive passing skills, suggesting he has good vision and creativity on the ball. [2] Technical Ability: He likes to do layoffs, which indicates good close control and the ability to link up play effectively. [1] O'Riley's composure in front of goal is noted, suggesting he's comfortable with the ball at his feet in high-pressure situations. [2] Work Ethic: He's described as having a tireless work ethic, which is crucial for a modern midfielder. [2] This work rate likely contributes to his effectiveness both in attack and defense. Adaptability: O'Riley seems to fit well into different tactical systems. He was attracted to Celtic partly because of the style of play under manager Ange Postecoglou, indicating his ability to adapt to a specific playing philosophy. [2] Goal Scoring Ability: While primarily a midfielder, O'Riley has shown a knack for scoring goals. In a recent match against Rangers, it was noted that he had scored his fourth goal in six league games, demonstrating his ability to contribute offensively. [3] Mental Attributes: Former coaches praise his mental attributes, suggesting that these qualities will take him far in his career. This likely includes aspects like decision-making, reading of the game, and mental toughness. [4] Development Potential: Given the praise from his former coaches and his rise through the ranks, O'Riley appears to have significant potential for further development. [4] In terms of comparing his style to other players, based on these characteristics, O'Riley seems to play like a modern, all-round central midfielder. His combination of technical skills, vision, work rate, and goal-scoring ability is reminiscent of players like Kevin De Bruyne or Bernardo Silva, albeit at a different level of competition. It's worth noting that O'Riley's style seems to be particularly well-suited to teams that emphasize possession-based, attacking football, given his technical skills and ability to create chances. This could explain why he's attracted interest from teams like Southampton, especially considering their manager Russell Martin's preferred style of play.

its ok ChatGPT says that we should bid under it "Southampton should consider bidding between £20 million to £22 million for Matt O'Riley. Here's the reasoning: Starting below the asking price: While Celtic has set a £25 million price tag, it's common in football transfers to start negotiations below the asking price. Show serious intent: By bidding over £20 million, Southampton would demonstrate that they're serious about the transfer and value the player highly. Room for negotiation: This bid leaves some room for negotiation, potentially allowing Southampton to meet Celtic halfway if needed. Consider add-ons: Southampton could structure the deal with a base fee of around £20 million, plus performance-related add-ons that could potentially reach or even exceed Celtic's asking price. This approach can make the deal more palatable for both clubs. Respect the selling club: While trying to get a good deal, Southampton should also be careful not to lowball Celtic, as this could sour negotiations. Player's desire: If O'Riley is keen on the move, it could help Southampton in negotiations."

His dad's song is giving me bradley walsh vibes, read the article and his parents moved with him to Glasgow cos the music scene is good there. "When Matt moved to Celtic, we decided to move to Glasgow too. The music scene here is just like it was in the 1980s in London, and it just gets you going again" Couple of years old but a really good scouting report on him https://totalfootballanalysis.com/article/matt-o-riley-at-celtic-202223-scout-report-tactical-analysis-tactics

Based on current feeling Valenciennes will be promoted Gozteppe will stay up due to an increase in the referee inducement fund We will stay up just, playing some awesome football but conceding late goals costing us wins or draws.

Found this crazy image yesterday where someone had listed all the positions chelsea have players for so far this season. they are never going to keep those guys either happy or with them.
-
I read somewhere yesterday that an premier league club has bid 27m for Broja. Assume Wolves as i know they were interested.
-
that article is utter bullshit

https://scoutingstats.ai/player/youssoufa-moukoko-2464/ Retention, threat and efficiency looking decent

You of all people fell for this 🤣
-
what does this Chilean know about surviving in the premier league, we need some British grit not some flouncy from the southern hemisphere.
-
I'm seeing a theme here, maybe i should take back saying we should exploit the french market more, maybe they have been exploiting us !

Logically this report that we have now agreed personal terms with o'reilly leads me to suspect the club are going to agree the fee shortly. Atalanta seem to be looking elsewhere at present as well according to Corrielle dello Sport who have listed that Atalanta are ready to turn their attentions to the Norwich's Gabriel Sara if they cannot strike a deal with Celtic for Matt O’Riley.

yeah defo MLG, they are discussing attendance sizes and twitter followers.

Wonder how long Fraser and Newcastle at logger heads for. Been quiet for a few weeks, assume hes training with their youth team or something.
-
Not sure if @Ted Bates Statueis ted bates on Celtic talk but whoever is seems to be doing a good job of pissing off Celtic fans.

Anyway back to O'reilly. Honestly i always fined it hard to gauge SPL players values, yes he has good returns up there but how do you grade that v say the premier league ? Virgil was obvious, vic was a destroyer but goals and assists up there is always hard to judge. We aren't the sort of club to take a risk but i guess if Russ wants him, he knows his quality from MK we just have to support, but doesn't sound like a deal is close at all, wonder if celtic will take 18M + add on's but i'd be loathe to go higher myself. For comparison Stuey Armstrong in one of his seasons got 15 goals and 7 assists, dont have a stat for losing the ball in the centre circle to compare though.

no chance he's coming here then.

That go fuck himself comment was set up superbly.
-
Pretty chaotic opening half. Comedy defending, losing possession far too easily. Suppose that's what preseason is about and we have a lot of young and new players involved.

Just checked and the answer is no.

Its been proven to get better engagement - One of the most compelling benefits of creating shorter videos is the increased level of engagement from audiences — short-form videos are 2.5 times more engaging than long-form videos.

I'd like to know how he can massively rate him when he has hardly seen him play, weird no ?
