It's not something you should aspire to Lou.

Perhaps Jay Rodrigeuz for Harry Kane might have been a good swop.

Connor doesn't rate him. -
I'm still hoping that Amygate is retold.

The CrossCountry trains definitely do have a strange smell about them... I used Thameslink for around six months to get from Haydons Road to City Thameslink/Farringdon. The service was scheduled to arrive at 08:02 but never did. I can't think of a single occasion when the train arrived on time. It would be cancelled with no notice (I remember once thinking 'hmm it's later than normal', checked the National Rail app to find it had just that second been terminated a stop before) and it would always be full. If I was lucky I might get the very last seat. The overcrowding was actually downright dangerous, people regularly fell out the doors at stations. It was so bad that I forked out the extra £50 a month to go from Wimbledon to Waterloo and got a bus to work. I still had to stand but the service was more frequent, more reliable and a 100% safety improvement. I might soon be back on the Hampshire commute, 06:49 from Shawford. Really looking forward to that... Though despite the horrible time of day, it's hardly ever late and there are plenty of seats even up until the last stop before London.

So in essence it's exactly the same as a West Ham fan who can't get a regular ticket because the game is sold out. Slow news day? Any slower and it wouldn't be moving.

Hartlepool are training in Southampton, not sure if it's at our place, but you never know.

Calum Chambers move to Arsenal to be investigated
Crazy Diamond replied to ART's topic in The Saints
Oxlade-Chamberlain went behind the club's back, defied their embargo on young players talking to the media, and gave an interview to the Telegraph about how much he want to leave. He and his family forced the move to Arsenal (though the Echo were forced to issue a denial), but we applaud him because he applauds us? Brilliant. It's the same stupid mentality from the same fans that will shout 'break his legs!' during a game or will ignore all the bad points of a player as long as he 'puts a shift in.' Chambers is a regular for Arsenal and an England international, it's not as if he left us and isn't playing or achieving things. The fact he came through our academy doesn't tie him to us for life. Maybe we should still be lining up with Oliver Lancashire (Rochdale), Jake Thomson (AFC Portchester) and Arron Davies (Exeter City). -

If we're talking about academy graduates only then I can pretty much agree with this, if not most of the rest of the thread. Lovren was a disgrace. -

Typical football fan logic on here combined with some personal insults. Brilliant. -

Home and away he's been booed by some of our fans, there were some downright bizarre comments for him at the Emirates the other month. -

Exactly what I thought. He was up against Sagna, a player twice his size, and yet he outmuscled him and defended brilliantly. I don't understand the hostility towards him from sections of our support. He's a good player, played well for us, and joined a bigger club. -

Walls of noise, pipes of fat, car parks of gravel - they really need to look at who they get in to do their building, I'm not sure the materials are up to it!

Thanks everyone, some very good advice in there. It has got to the point where it was quite refreshing to talk to someone yesterday who said 'you're probably not right for it so I wouldn't want to pass your CV on' when I asked about a job I wasn't sure about...! Funnily enough I've submitted my CV for a job with them!

Loved the chant, shame it didn't catch on.

Was thinking just the same earlier - and believe me they've p*ssed me off too in recent months. Thanks for the suggestion, looking for specifically non-marketing roles though! I've got a few years of experience in communications and press officer work, degree in journalism.

Well I'm glad I'm not alone in having bad experiences. Just had another look on LinkedIn and saw something I fancied, so there's a start...

A/S/L? (As we used to ask in the early 00s)

Yeah I've pretty much come to that conclusion, however being out of work for four months means desperate measures. That and I can't seem to find the kind of job I'm after without a recruitment agency acting as a middle man. I keep an eye on LinkedIn but not found anything decent thus far.
