He joined Brentford last week. Probably could have played at a higher level, decent signing by Uwe Rosler.

I would imagine there are a few targets lined up that have been identified by our scouting network outside of the UK. Realistically I don't think there are all that many players in this division or the divisions below that will add something better to what we already have. Wish we'd signed Johan Voskamp. Scored today for Slask Wroclaw against Dundee United. I first heard of him when he was playing for Sparta Rotterdam, has a phenomenal goalscoring record, albeit in Holland. Once scored eight goals on his debut. For Sparta he scored 29 goals in 31 games, at Helmond 22 in 34. Something like that please!

Neal Trotman has signed for Rochdale, so my idea of getting him as backup ends there!

I remain to be convinced Maynard is worth £4 million. He's definitely not worth £5 million. I really think we can do better with less money on a striker from abroad.
-
I can see a newly promoted Premier League club paying £4 - £5 million for Maynard. Would a Championship club (other than Leicester) pay that money for him? No. City are holding out for a Premier League club to buy him. Danny Graham has a better goalscoring record and went for just over £3 million.

Who nose. It's a mystery.
-
Ha, you say that, but the Skates paid Spurs for Asmir Begovic to join Stoke.
-
Good programme that. As Brussels Saint alluded to, I can see us looking abroad now, and given the inflated prices for English players at the moment, that can't be a bad thing.
-
Apologies for earlier. I remember watching Jake Thomson for the U18's. He seemed a natural leader, vocal, strong, calm under pressure, had a decent amount of skill. But it seems he had his chances to impress, two loan spells in lower divisions and we gave him a handful of appearances, and it never worked out. Then again, Jamie Hatch was touted as a future great, he's in Australia in the Queensland State League. Jamie White too, although I understand he had a bad time with injuries. To say that team against Millwall was cobbled together would be an understatement.
-
Yes it did occur to me that this might come back in the future but I wouldn't want us to divert time away from getting in other targets to renegotiate. If Sharp is the best option in the eyes of Adkins and Cortese then fair enough, but if there's someone out there who's better, then let's go for them before going over old ground.

And I'll ignore who I want - the fact is I shouldn't have to, but your facetiousness that I and other users have experienced is beyond a joke now. I don't like your posts, you're quite right. You are not the only one with access to Wikipedia. Grow up and start contributing something more worthwhile, if you actually have to. Over and out.

You'd prefer we risked it all for the sake of one season then?

Time to move on.

I told you to stop quoting me. You are a troll.

He's a troll. What more can I say than that.
-
I wouldn't even say he's that smart. But yes, you're quite right. Not heard much about Simon Gillett lately, given the amount of time we spent weighing up whether or not to keep him, I can't say I've regretted the final decision to let him go.

I see MLG has outdone himself and acted like a moron on yet another thread. Is he familiar with the word 'seems' ? For someone who prides himself on correcting other people, his literary skills leave a lot to be desired. I also note he's changed his location and avatar back to what it was before, perhaps he finally realised he's not funny.

I'll be interested as to this season's foreign import. Papa was okay, Guly is good enough for a permanent deal, who next and how good will they be?
-
Can't believe Saganowski is in that line up. Seems centuries ago that we had him.
-
Neal Trotman is available on a free. Seemed a decent defender to me when he was on loan with us, good squad player? Just a thought.
-
On loan. He's a Preston player still. Sorry to be all MLG on you.
-
They played well together, no doubt about that at all. Their form after Christmas doesn't lie.
-
Wahey. Forecast on form.

Maynard says he wants to stay at Bristol City, in an interview with their website. Wasn't really expecting him to say 'get me the hell out of here' but there we go. He can stay at Ashton Gate if they're asking Matt Mills money.
