Why were you at a scumpy v Leeds match mate? Poor form if you ask me, or are you a blue few convert then? If so well done mate for seeing the light!!

Don't remember that incident, but You have to have a modicum of respect for the guy after the FA cup final at Cardiff. We were only a few minutes into the game when Claus wanted to rip his shirt off in the box.He didnt fling himself to the ground or appeal to earn an early pen,so whilst I agree with your bit about the cheating world cup antics, whatever he did there didn't affect saints.

Cheers Eric.

I was under the impression that it had been moved with a view to be screened on tv not sure whether anything has been decided yet though( hence the confusion)

Is this the home leg we are talking about or is this the one at MK Dons on Wednesday? Reason for asking is the thread title says Saints V Mk Dons so I am assuming this weeks game AT MK is also on SKY yes?

So in your little world, the transfer embargo is lifted and then what??????? Oh yeah I know .......Lets go and spend another £40M of loan money on some more mediocre s**t and go bust even quicker than we would like on here! You lot really are dense. By the way, for a skate you are normally reasoned and bareable, so I think I know your post was tongue in cheek, but there are fish fiddlers like you that actually believe what you have posted to be true ffs.

Poor against Norwich! Poor against Exeter! Poor against Colchester! Pattern emerging me thinks! Several improvements required in January in several positions. I know at half time it maybe a bit kneejerk, but I think a loss here today could see off our push for the Playoffs.

Whilst I do agree with you regarding Lloyd James ability to take corners and his tackling ability, I have to say that in the past I too would have been calling for his head. However I really have started to learn this season that AP is the manager that we really can trust to make the decision whether to play him or not or whether to let him take the corners. So far AP has done a good job and I trust that he will find a suitable replacement when one becomes available. January is just a few days away now................All good things come to those who wait!

Saints 3-0 Tranmere Rovers: Post Match Reaction
countysaint replied to St Landrew's topic in The Saints
If we play like we did today, then next week will end in tears for sure. We huffed and puffed our way through Tranmere until we got the breakthrough. We cannot afford to do the same at Leeds. Whilst I was extatic at the final whistle, I didnt feel we played that well today. All that said, the referee was real pants today and made the game worse for all his petty little descisions that he could have allowed to go and let the game flow a bit. (Tin hat at the ready now!) -
Without getting carried away, Why should we fear anyone home or away in this league? Many on here are saying that they wouldn't fancy us away to Norwich. Why not. On the evidence in recent weeks when high flying MK Dons and Charlton turned up(or not) we made them look what they are..........Average at best! This side now IS capable of beating anyone including Leeds. We have a winning mentality now which is something that Pards stated he wanted right from the Hearts game.We also have a team that don't know when they are beaten, L Orient and Torquay being two examples of comebacks recently. Believe in this team and we WILL be promoted this season. Stuff the season of consolidation sh1t. Listen to Pards interviews after the Charlton game.He mentions Wembly appearences, either through the JPT trophy final OR PLAYOFFS This team BELIEVES that they are capable, so should we...............COYR.

What about the semi final ticket though? Has anyone else got a ticket with the eronious time for being in your seat printed on it?
-
Just recently whilst visiting a local business in town, I happened to come accross a frame of Southampton FA cup run tickets from 1976. They were all there from the third round Aston Villa game (costing 80p) up to the final at Wembley(cost £1.50) This is probably not something to get excited about as I would imagine there are a fair few of you out there that have the same tickets still in your possesion. The thing that has intrigued me, was the semi final ticket. This particular ticket at first glance looked as it should until closer inspection. The kick off time was stated as 3pm, normal I here you say, until you look further down the ticket at the bottom and it requests that you take your seat by 7pm! YES 7PM! I knew someone else at work also had all the ticket stubs so I asked him to check his.He came back to me today and informed me that his just said kick off 3pm, no further mention of the 7pm bit at the bottom. What I would like to know is, is the ticket in the frame genuine with a printing error? or is it a fake and has anyone else got this same error on their ticket? I was just curious to find out if maybe that ticket could be valuable because of that time discrepancy.

I agree Harding is a better choice right now, but can't fault the bloke for one reason. After my 9 year old son and I travelled up to Blackpool last season, at the end my boy was waving his large Saints flag at the edge of the pitch, as the players walked off after the game Scatcel turned to applaud the fans and saw my boy with the flag. The rest of the team walked back to the tunnel but Scatcel ran over to him and gave him his shirt. For a nine year old Saints mad kid, that moment will live in his memory forever. Thanks Rudi. Sorry it never worked out.

I was really pleased with the pricing for the MK Donkeys. I took the Missus and both kids for £38. That is proper pricing and great value at under a tenner a head! I was so pleased with the pricing and her indoors was so pleased with the way we played on Saturday,She said she would be happy to get a half year ST for all of us which when I enquired was just over £450 for the rest of the season.Obviuosly this will decrease with each home game that passes after Brighton game. Excellent pricing structure and now selling a product again that is worth watching and worth paying for. COYR

DD is correct in what he says. I do not condone cowardly behaviour and sure as hell would not want someone to stamp all over me when I was on the ground. However, if I enter a pub looking for trouble (A FIGHT) and get floored I can't really expect the bloke who floored me to stop until he has made sure I am not going to come back at him with more than just my fists. That said it should only be the guy who floored me who does the kicking and not half of the pub who then feel "brave" enough to have a go. I think we all agree that football violence is contemptable and in this day and age really should be consigned to history but whilst it is still in our midst and becoming more prevalent, then we have to understand that if the thugs want to fight they will, if they get fingered then they must face the consequences. The problem there is that the deterrants are so poor for the punishment that they will always use a matchday to polish up their "slapping skills"knowing that the worst they will get is a Football banning order. How many people are in SMS on a matchday with one of those? I wager there are a few!

I have never understood this belief of gentlemanly fighting. If you go into battle with an opponent then the job is to immobilise him as quick as you can and with any means in which to do it BEFORE your opponent does the same to you???? Am I not right? There is no honour to be gained in fighting the Marquis of Queensbury rules outside the King Alfred.

Why are you always so "holier than thou"? Can other people not express their disappointment at yet another winning position thrown away on forums like this? I am so glad you are full of passion and dedication to what is yet again another season of struggle. Every time a poster tries to get it off their chest after a poor result, you come out with the same old "get behind the team" happy clappy b o l l o x and if you don't like it, don't watch retort. WE as a forum membership have one thing in common...........WE ALL love Saints. Some find it easy to accept defeat and move on, some can't accept defeat and have to use the forum to alleviate their frustrations. Just because we don't have your take on the manner of defeat, for god sake have the good grace to accept that people can post how they feel, whether you like it or not!
