  1. I logged on to this thread because I thought maybe something positive was happening with the Antonio situation. The last page has been nothing but an ego trip to see how many more posts GITR can add to his collection!!!! CAN WE STICK TO THE DEBATE and not descend into childish backbiting EVERY bloody thread???????? Thank you.
  2. Source?
  3. Well according to a source of mine from within the corridoors of power, earlier in the week they had only sold 4000 tickets !!! Hmmmm........
  4. Is there any reason why, when you go to the ticket office, buy season tickets, pay for them and then get told they will post them out in the next couple of weeks? I ask this, because as already stated they are the same this season as last year,i,e a printed slip with name and addrress seat number row and block. After making the trip down to the ground to buy them I couldn't believe that I still had to have them posted out. I could see a mountain of booklets sat on the counter just needed the printed ticket put inside and I could have saved them the postage! If the club really needs to cut costs to be a more profitable business then surely the less time packing and posting ST's and postage costs then actual buyers at the counter could save them a packet?
  5. Due to the lack of Saints related topics, I thought it would be an Idea to find out who we may attract in the annual Ted Bates Trophy this year. Whilst renewing my season ticket on Friday (yes I know renewals should have been done by Wednesday!) I enquired at the ticket office who we would be be playing this year, only to find out "we aren't having it this year!" Well that's another kick in the teeth for ex legends of the club! and there was me thinking that this was the 125th anniversary of the club and Ted Bates was probably the biggest part of the 125 years history! Silly me. What is it with the club this close season? I know it seems that we do love to moan but come on, this really should have been a big match to celebrate our 125th and remember Ted again. Thoughts please.
  6. Remember it??? How could you ****in forget it? The Monster coach (Kingston Coaches) from Salisbury was what it was affectionately known as. I remember when I was very young and naeive, waiting at the Polygon Hotel for the coach to go to Notts County. When it turned up it was over booked so someone decided they would get a hire van for those that couldn't get on the coach. We were asked for £20 and told they would be back later. When they came back it was an old Leyland Sherpa van with no seats and no windows. At the time I worked for the old bill and sat quietly in the back with about 8 others. They were all swigging copius amounts of lager and reading all the porn you could imagine. As we got to Banbury the lads decided to raid the local offy and came back with shed loads of stolen booze. then we got talking about what we did for jobs.I didnt dare mention who I worked for(I was **** scared of all of them!) Later we got to a filling station, filled up and then drove off without paying as a police jaguar followed us out of the services. I was bricking it! Then as we got to Nottingham they were talking of doing a smash and grab for some Pringle jumpers but luckilly the kick off was getting close so we didnt get time. at the game I got hold of Foley and told him to get me home on the coach or else! He arranged a lift home for me in his mates Morris Marina. As we travelled down the M1 we saw the Sherpa van stopped on the hard sholder by the old bill with the boys all spreadeagled along the van! I was so glad I got a lift in the Marina back coz those were PWOPA NAWTY BOYS!
  7. Although I was a fan of Surman, he is from the old days at Saints, when he was one of the better players in a poor team. He was Saints through and through, yes, but limited and not any better than what we have now. As the New Saints develop we should be looking to improve beyond what we have here now and definately what we have had in the past. I do agree HCDAJFU but there are better players out there that can get stuck in and boss the midfield, whereas I don't see Drew as that type of player and anyway he would at best be cover for Spiderman and Deano. Would he leave a Premiership sides bench to drop two divisions and warm ours?
  8. Just look at all those webbed feet fish fiddlers balling their eyes out!! There is a football god after all! Now **** off and die you skate bastards!!
  9. What a fairy tale this would be for the Seasiders to get to the PL!! Cracking game tonight, and make no mistake........these boys are no mugs! Well done Ian Holloway, after that Knut Manderic shafted you!
  10. Thanks Andy top bloke!!
  11. Hi Does anyone have a link to a live stream for this game please? Cheers
  12. Well there's 10 valuable minutes of my morning that I will have to work late for to make up!! Thanks.................Oh and by the way,the hedgehog one has been doing the rounds by text msg for weeks now!!
  13. Hi Nick I work for a double glazing sealed unit manufacturing company that has been in business for 58 years and is one of the largest businesses of its type in the south. As part of my job I deliver to several joinery companies, the bigges local one who do a wide range of products to the best standard imaginable is a company in Empress road called Ridon joinery. I know the proprietors very well and would reccommend their work highly. Also there was an earlier mention from another poster suggesting Input Joinery. I also supply them and they are based in Andover and are huge, again I would reccommend them but they are a massive company whereas Ridon are a large familly run business and you would probably get a more personal service from them. If you would like an introduction to either then give me a PM and I will see if we could maybe get you a better deal by reccommendation. cheers.
  14. The live table now has it as we are 6pts off of Huddersfield with a game in hand as things stand Another Walsall goal would take us to just 5 points C O Y R AND LALLANA AND PUNCH YOU FUKIN LEDGENDS!!
  15. There is a football god after all!! Twitchy saggy chops gets dumped out of the cup first, then the fishfiddlers get their fishy hearts broken in the final..............Oh and has anyone mentioned......RELEGATION and the Championship await after the final, thats if they still have a club! C O Y R
  16. Colin No offence mate, but I think the Coventry air has go to you! He didn't have a very good second half either! He was duplicating his Monday performance.......................Couldn't be Arsed!!!
  17. Am I the only Saints fan to be left feeling a bit short changed today? The first time since 1976 the club has won a trophy at Wembley and the club didn't see fit to thank the supporters for their backing, by parading the JPT around the pitch before kick off! This was an opportunity missed if you ask me, to add a few onto the gate today. If the club had announced that in the event of a victory in the JPT then the players would do a lap of honour before the L O game, then there would have been more bums on seats today. After all we managed to get something like 51000 to Wembley so where were all the JCL today? I feel a bit let down by the club today, what are your thoughts?
  18. Proff I was also in the south stand and agree with you. How bad is it sitting in with the home fans at a match? That is only the second time that I have done it, the other a few years back on boxing day at Chelsea where luckily it was only 0-0 so didn't have to pretend to be extatic when Chelsea scored or dissapointed when Saints did. Last night I had my 10 year old son with me and when we scored it was a worry whether he would give us away or not by jumping up.I am pleased to say he kept our cover and just gave me a knowing wry smile! Although I would follow Saints anywhere anyhow I am begining to think that it is not worth it to sit in a s h i t hole of a ground and try to enjoy it like last night. The truth is you cant be the same fan as you are under normal circumstances. Glad to know we weren't the only undercover agents in enemy territory last night though. C O Y R!!
  19. AP nearly cost us the game!! I just got back from sitting in with the home fans!! have you any idea how hard that is?? I love AP and hate seeing the descenters on here, but playing 4-5-1 was just lack of bottle I'm sorry to say. All season we've heard how Rickie needs a rest! Why then did he give him the lone strikers role tonight when we had Barnard itching to play? Sorry but the slim hopes of the P O are now gone thanks to A P's lack of bottle and not going 4-4-2.
  20. Both our local news stations should be disgusted with their news programs. This was a quarter of a major cities population gathered in one place and the only coverage it merits is in the sport section of the show.
  21. What a **** station Meridian is! Tonights program doesn't see fit to make a South Coast major football club winning a trophy the main story. You could bet your life if the Skates had won it then they would make the main story! On the thread headline, The Sun saw fit to give us the front and back page! yes I know it was only for the Southampton edition but a nice touch all the same. SHAME on you Meridian!!:-x
  22. Just wanted to add that six of us travelled with Greyhound on coach 7 and would like to thank the driver for his profesional manner and the all round great experience that they provide. I have travelled far and wide with the travel club, but I would never use them again whilst Greyhound are operating the same routes. We were all given a welcome letter from the managing director offering to undercut the travel club and given a 35% discount on our next booking. For anyone who wants to try a far more comfortable travel experience, this company knock spots off of anything the travel club have to offer. For a start they saved us £5 per head and they have twice the leg room and all the seats are leather. Well done Greyhound! Excellent Enough said................just do it! You know it makes sense!:smt023
  23. Did you mean a defeat on Sunday for a win in the Playoffs
  24. I bought six with four different ST numbers on the first day and they arrived Saturday. My mate at work who goes regular but not on database asked if I could help. I purchased two more the next day and they haven't turned up yet. although I'm happy that I have got ours I am a bit woried that his haven't arrived yet. WHY is it when you try and do someone a bloody favour, it always comes back to bite you on the arse? It looks to him as though I have had his money and kept his tickets! (For those with more suspicious minds amongst you.......................NO I haven't flogged them on ebay!) If this is what it's gonna be like for the playoffs then forget them this year, lets just have automatic next year please!
  25. Big Up to Ron Manager!! He was at the game don't ya know!
