Delaney is absolutely class. ive wanted us to sign him for a ruddy long time. If we were to manage it…I’d be delighted. brilliant player….as he showed in the Euros.

For those wondering why nothing came from Official sources at Southampton for a time after it was announced by Nice….. Mario Lemina flew to France to complete his move to OGC Nice without permission from Southampton, senior figures at the club indicated they could have fined him for doing so - but they wanted the deal done, so decided against a punishment. if true….shows his utter contempt and unprofessionalism until the end of his tenure with us.

The longer this prospective Armstrong signing goes on the less enthused I am about getting him. just seems to me we might just stretch our spending limits on this one player and he’s just a second rate championship striker,who had a purple patch recently in a lower league. Armstrong and Tammy Abraham would be my fairly sensible acquisitions to bolster the attack in my view.

Anyone really surprised,if true? we would’ve invested heavily in him…..despite the fact he’s still has big question marks over his durability during a season. interesting to see who takes a punt on him. bit of a gamble for a club and for him in my view.
