  1. It was a great croud though, well done I took my daughter and she loved it.
  2. at home is good and someone who we have a good chance of beating!!! it would be good to go as far as possibe, I know money is not a major issue but the extra money would be nice... I feel pretty greedy saying that the skates wouldnt like me would they!!
  3. as much as i don't work in finance i am pretty sure i know more than peter storrie esp when he says the only way to stay there is more and more finance and they can't live within there means because of the ground, he actually talks out of his a**e. If they live within there means they may be playing at there true level but they have alot more chance of 'staying there' and then maybe use a loan/morgage for a new ground for steady growth. Am I wrong???
  4. can I just say i thought patterson looked much better then at the beggining of the season, did OK.
  5. To be honest I want pompy to suffer but that is a bit harsh, going down is hard enough (we all know) I really dislike pompy but if/when they go down I'll be happy enough if a saints fan does that I think it will look really bad on us as supporters kinda stuped I think. COYS
  6. Just a thought I heard that if they missed payments today then any player can go for free, is this not correct!!! Why would a club pay pompy when they could temp the player away esp if he cost the 6 mill that one of them wants. Could be very very wrong this is more of a question.
  7. It really sounds like pompy may have to sell most of there squad, is there and good youth players or realistic players anyone can think of? It is an opportunity maybe to get somthing on the cheap with quality! I don't know but lets just see...
  8. Ooooo Its a tough one, hope it is painfull though.
  9. I suppose we all have to wait and see, I have to say though I only want a finantially viable club with long term future, I do think something will happen that will bring football down to earth a bit but I also think with the big big clubs due to there extra income they may be OK.
  10. This made me laugh on 606 http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A61270913
  11. someone on 606 think we have Kweku Asampong http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A61280426 I don't know anything about him, hope he is fast though.
  12. Ha Ha great if true I put a fiver on coulple going to prison!!
  13. He has a few good goals on you tube, I have to say I don't know. In AP I trust!! I have to say playes do somtimes find there form.
  14. he has an official site where you can write to him!!!!!! why don't 'you' ask?
  15. Well fingers crossed, its been such a exciting season so far, we do need extra quality in the squad and obv get rid of the dead wood. COYR
  16. ~This is not last years saints we can still do this!!
  17. There has been a lot of praise about our new owners and rightly so I feel so proud the be a sotonian. But I have to say that I do find that when people criticise the 'bad times' everyone from that period get a lot and I really mean a lot of stick. I'm mainly talking about Leon Crouch and also McMenemy, I consider both top blokes and I'll try and explain why; Leon Crouch, A true fan and did what he could, I think he paid out of his own pocket for the Ted Bates statue after the first one was seen as, well it was pretty poo, also without his money keeping our club going for the few months before the takeover, we would have no club, and let’s face it he is not as rich as ML by a long way and this money was a huge gamble with the only possible return was saints survive. BIG thanks for that. McMenemy, I think that this man was as important to us as LeTissier in the way he did business getting some great players to come and keeping us in the top flight after getting us there, although as I was born in 82 and missed the massive FA cup win I also wish him all the best. I know we are in dreamland with the new owners and I would not change it for anything but without these two that I feel sometimes people don't appreciate we would never be in this position. I got tickets on boxing day for all my family (brothers, dad) and we be having a pint and if I were to ever meet LC or LM I'd def buy them one. Happy Christmas and COYR
  18. We are all on the same side now though surly, I aways liked Illingsworth as I do feel he is at least pretty positive in his comments. No need for in-fighting come on were better than that now. COYR
  19. does that include the the corners? sorry I really don't know
  20. PS, I think this thread is pointless because MLT was such a talent and anyone would welcome him for some token training. Simples.
  21. MLT could only help, after reading his book I would love to see him help our boys esp the young ones as with a bit of training esp bt MLT there confidence taking them should be sky high. MLT could only help and when it comes to important matches every little bit helps!
  22. How about Nicola Cortese!!!
  23. Grants not happy; http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/africa/8427256.stm We all knew this anyway but I always like reading bad news for pompy!! COYR
  24. I am still in shock at how different out club is, great idea. COYR

Some of the comments on here are so good, you should be able to send them to this musem, I hope they cram as much history as possible and really try and sell Southampton ingaging all the kids and adults that go in. After watching that James May programme I think the schools that go should be able to buy a model Spitfire and make it! or maybe a replica model boad made at the old VT!! Well lets hope they get it right.
