  1. Indeed. It's unreal but the people he supports have not the club at heart, merely the PLC and their business playground. It's hard to swallow such self-centred failures could regain power and drive our club into the dust. Time for positive action...NOW! We've put up with more than enough and the board have got off lightly. All the fans that have given up (and stopped attending) need to stand up, be counted and vociferously protest and get these a*seholes out of our club for good!

  5. You're dead right, what a fookin joke! You can't get clearer warning signs than this (for the past months in fact), and teams have still gone down. With our goal difference, we're well on the way to droppin' even further. Yet Lowe and Wilde continue to do nothing. Absolute morons! Either someone has some surreptitious plan to pick the club up cheap in admin or are they just the most deluded, moronic bunch in modern day football?! (Surely they deserve to be beaten with some wooden spoon for believing in the concept in the first place)

  7. We're now on a negative goal difference of minus 18 which will inevitably put us below Notts Forrest, Doncaster and Charlton when they draw level on points. There is every chance we may soon go ROCK BOTTOM as the bottom teams are likely to surpass us, with our current car crash/freefalling form. We're fielding a starting 11 not fit for League 1 FFS. The biggest question on the lips of every Saints fan must be - What is being done to rectify this huge calamity? NOTHING!! Jan has to go, along with his inexperienced Dutch counterparts. We gave them until Xmas - they have failed spectacularly. Lowe and Wilde need to f*ck off and step down for sanctioning such lunacy, they've done more than enough to kill our club and I feel it may well be beyond repair. Well done Lowe. Well done Wilde (you treacherous coward!) Now step aside as some claim you care about our club. Show that you care by acting like men - accepting your huge failure (the Dutch duo) has failed and accepting you removed a possible life-raft (in dismissing Pearson). Neither of you have a clue about football and you both have ruined our club. Unless you act now and give another manager some chance to salvage something from this season, then we must assume you do not care, you do not know what you are doing and your petty arrogance is doing nothing more than fuelling the hatred of a city's football fans! Do the right thing...you self-centred w*nkers!

  9. WHAT? You'd rather watch us pass around from side to side in midfield, rarely threatening the opposition or braking the back line (and not likely to with Mc Goldrick having carte blanche regardless of performance) than watch us grind out some results?! Odd. 22 points from 24 games, with a goal difference of minus 16 (1 goal away from being the worst GD in the league), sitting right on top of the relegation zone at Xmas is relegation form and is not acceptable in my books! Pearson had a much harder job when he arrived, so to accuse him of producing shocking football is way off the mark. He did a grand job in very trying circumstances. He certainly made better use of the loan system than our current lemmings! Yes, I'm absolutely positive and confident we would be doing better if Pearson had remained. You couldn't get much worse than under our current, inexperienced and foolhardy Dutch experiment.
  10. Or, a massive picture of a Bell-End with Lowe’s name beside it – or ‘Adriansfc’ for that matter! LOL Have a very merry Xmas!
  11. Really? This Dennis Roach?! http://www.4thegame.com/club/manchester-city-fc/news/82625/Agent+Roach+charged+by+FA.html The disgraced agent! I sincerely hope that is just a rumour. Where do they find all these shady f*ckers?! Lowe, Wiseman, Askham, Hone, Dulieu, Richards, Wilde (more coward, although part snake)...Roach?! Is it part of the SFC recruiting process - must be a self-serving, money hungry, 2-faced, treacherous f*ckwit!! Where do they find such people? Do they all drink down the same local?!
  12. Never a truer word spoken! Since Mr Askham, Lowe, esq. decided to use the club as a personal finance booster, the club has continually suffered at the hands of the greedy! I can't help but wonder where we'd be today if Frost and Davies took over...My heart bleeds thinking of it! Still, there's nothing we can do to change any of that now. Just close our eyes and hope for the best but I have the same feeling I predicted at the onset of the relegation season - Yup, relegation seems a dead and very likely cert.
  13. I'd feel insulted if that came from anyone who warrants a modicum of respect. Luckily, from the content of most of your posts, you fall into the "don't suffer fools lightly" category and pale into insignificance, amongst others!
  14. Big on talk, as usual. I won’t include Wilde in this example since he’s so clearly a spineless puppet, wobbling around in the shadows across the channel. I wasn’t aware I needed to offer a solution for Lowe’s reoccurring incompetence. In my opinion, we were fine building on the platform in which we ended last season (without the need to fire fight the obvious catastrophe that so many hypothesized would happen!) Simple as that. And how we've missed you! Did someone hear some distant squeak?! A feeble muttering of disgruntled disagreement?! Haha. Ok, I’ll avoid the juvenile banter or engaging you too much as we’re obviously poles apart but you’re comments are priceless. Killed the forum? Us? WOW! Such a wild but amusing accusation. In reality, if you’re looking for a scapegoat to blame for the dwindling lack of forum substance, I think you’ll find the misplaced opinions of the Lowe Luvvies are the chief cause. If you contest that, try taking a clipboard to a pre-match pub and ask the plethora of supporters who they blame for our current slump at the foot of the table. If you do really believe in your opinions and comments, I think you’ll be quite shocked! The pointless debates and arguments attacking anyone anti-Lowe put many off, plus the influx of surreptitious posters who mysterious defended Lowe to the hilt despite his track record and refusal to change or acknowledge the fans (Agenda ridden Scooby, Somedunce, Fire Fighter, esq.) along with the wildly obscure views of yourself, Nick G/H, Alain Perrin, Jonah (who sometimes has a point), etc. put many more off. In fact, around the time Duncan Holley departed due to the sheer cacophony of meaningless squawks and personal attacks and vitriol which flooded the forum post Lowe’s return, many more posters who made a worthwhile contribution to the forum…STOPPED! It’s poorer for that.
  15. It’s funny/tragic to see so many fence sitting fans who supported Lowe post relegation still persisting to support his failing regime in it’s second term of failure. Some of the reasoning and defence against ridiculous odds is obscure to say the least and most debate laughable from those peddling his worn out ‘youth production farm’ mantra. I wonder, will those same morons still be peddling the same line post January, if we still in fact have a squad capable of competitive CCC football? Face the facts (as we all dish the speculation which you cannot blame us for, considering the media black out and intelligence-insulting spin drip fed to the poorly written media!), we are sat at the foot of the table, hovering above the relegation spots, with a pathetic goal difference of minus 14 (equal to Charlton), second only to Doncaster with minus 16 and we look set to lose the only 2 glimmers of hope (i.e. Very last youth players of worth who have barely broken through) in the forms of Lallana and Surman (if rumours are to be believed). Defend that!! Oh, we can’t afford them? We have a high wage bill? (considering 85% are on low, youth team wages) We have no other choice? (A reserve squad of questionable competency – whether capable and not quite ready, or just not quite up to standard, or just a few seasons away from the end product, or in need of experience to learn from), Pearson and Crouch would have sent us into admin.? We had to use inexperienced Dutch coaches from the lower realms because someone told Lowe they would work wonders with our kids? Hockaday and Henderson are our secret saviours because they have Lowe’s ear and have aspirations for managing the first team? Who knows – the latter wouldn’t surprise me, and Lowe’s that pig headed and arrogant that he’d ignore the lesson which should have been learnt post Wigley, Gray and relegation. It’s like Groundhog day in the CCC.
  16. F*ck me, I'd hate to see your version of a bad job, if you conider this "ok" - seeing as we're sitting just on top of the relegation zone with a goal difference of minus 14, 2nd worst and 2 goals away from being the worst in the league!! (Especially if you consider 2nd poorest GD compared only to the mighty, Doncaster!) Unbelievable! Can I borrow your rose tinted specs please?
  17. As I stated in an earlier thread http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=6472&page=2 I do like the guy and still think he has an impossible job (how allegedly tricky is down to debate if certain rumours are to be believed). Regardless, I think Xmas is time enough and it's obviously not working. If he'd tried to adapt and change tactics and formations, rather than persisting with sole strikers who can't strike (Mc Goal drought!) and dropping experienced players in defence until desperate, or at least experimenting slightly (he has very mildly but not to any effect), I may be of a different opinion. However, I feel Jan’s hands are tied and question his level of control, which is also contentious with Lowe in the shadows so it’s difficult to determine who is entirely culpable. In any case, the manager is supposed to manage the team so he has to take responsibility. I'm sick of mentioning Lowe, this is about football, but I am 95% sure Rupert is involved and imposing some meddling effect on the first team squad, all be it from the shadows (more than he should, especially as he's not even the supposed football chairmen! what a farce!). Having watched Jan's body language around Lowe pitch-side during the Sky game (Palace - when Gorre was chatting with Lowe with Jan stood aside) I believe it spoke volumes. Jan looked lost and bewildered, certainly not a manager on top of his team and in control. Ok, a lot to judge from a mere view stood beside his boss on the tele but I thought the images spoke more than some insincere words or spin emanating from club back doors, or ridiculous defence from insidious Lowe supporters in an unrealistic representation on a internet fan’s forum . In many ways, it may not be entirely Jan's fault (if you're to believe that his job is made more difficult by not being allowed to exclusively manage the first team). His level of actual control is a contentious point. However, it is the prerogative of Jan to how he manages a club, he is in control of his own destiny and it is his reputation on the line. Currently, we are failing...badly! I feel sympathy if he is being used as a ‘Yes Man’. If not, then he simply isn’t up to scratch. Whilst a manager needs assistance (first team coaches, coaches, etc.), we suffer constant speculation about the management regime tampering in football matters, whether through Lowe or other advisors and I believe this fundamentally undermines the manager (& his level of respect from his peers) and his control of the team (hence why so many British managers so vehemently demand they attain overall control). Ok, this isn't the Dutch way but it’s an English league. I feel Jan has had a wakeup call, he realises more after his baptism of fire; more than he was initially led to believe. Sorry if this seems like I have an axe to grind, I just clearly do not like Rupert Lowe talk and his politics. I do not trust the bloke and all dislike all that he stands for. Simple as that. Many may defend him but I can’t just stand in silence as our club dies. I dislike Wilde equally, for his despicable conduct and treachery alone. All men are proven failures, failing drastically again (but caring about their own egos to the total detriment of our club. Shameful). Politics aside, It would be good if we could keep Jan working with the youth as I do believe he has something to offer our club. However, we need a manager of experience and someone who can work the physical English leagues. A sound appointment that commands discipline & respect (much like Pearson - who knows how he'd have fared as he didn't have the experience, but he seemed a wild card that had worked as he did seem to have the right attributes that, sadly, I feel Jan lacks). We certainly left last season on a high which Lowe, regrettably, destroyed in the infancy of his forlorn return. The attendances have plummeted, results have been woeful and the general feeling of hope and optimism have deserted St Mary’s (despite the warnings of so many who were berated on this forum for standing against Lowe and Wilde returning). What a leader! We are inexperienced and we do not have time to keep persisting with our defensive line that is continually leaking goals, at a frighteningly scary speed (taking into account goal difference) and we should have utilized the loan system to bring in the steadying heads of experience. The obsession with youth over experienced professionals overlooked that stigma. In essence, we did have the chance to keep things relatively solid, to keep the ball rolling where we left last season (the management that succeeded Wilde’s idiots post ‘The Hone siege’) to a certain extent, salvaging what I felt was the unsalvageable. However, if you’re to believe the spin, we’d be bankrupt, penniless and in administration by now if we were left to Crouch and co. Really?? And this is Lowe and Wilde’s saving grace and great alternative eh?! Well, excuse me if I say “No Thanks”. “F*ck off and never come back” would be more appropriate.
  18. I think if Askham came out from the closet, I’d slam his head in the nearest filing cabinet (ironically, and preferably, the cabinet filled with his expenses claims, bonds, bank statements and share certificates). He’s another parasite of the club. He takes – it’s in his nature. He won’t ever give anything in return, other than some infection. If he cared, he would have helped out by now. Harsh, but fair. Moving on, it’s another depressing weekend of football and another telling sign, another defeat, more delusion, more brave faces…how many more games do we need to realise? Who cares about performance, motivation, justification – we NEED RESULTS! Can we not learn by our mistakes?! FFS Sorry to be negative as the facts (and suppositions) don’t make cheery reading (a bit like Alpine, sorry old boy!) but I gave the manager and management until Xmas to give my verdict and I’ve had enough. I, personally, like Poortvliet. He seems a nice guy and his heart seems in the right place but we’re a football club, not a charity. Not many managers would put up with the sh*t he so clearly has to endure at St Mary’s and I have a degree of sympathy BUT it is Jan that agreed the contract, it was Jan that was desperate to manage in the English football leagues (so much so he bought himself – allegedly – out of his own contract) and it is Jan who is the manager of our club. In fairness, it was the wrong time to appoint him but Lowe has his own agenda, always has done. I would personally bring in a British manager of some experience, who knows the leagues and is available. We have no more time to experiment. I’m sure Lowe with his astute knowledge of contracts could be of use to ensure we don’t pay out silly money and risk big pay off clauses. Maybe even a rolling contract, in the way we used Pearson. I’m sure Lowe utilized a low pay out, escape clause with Jan and Wotte. Regardless of who is pulling the strings at Saints, Jan agreed to manage the club (whether he is a YES MAN or not) so it is Jan that must take the responsibility. In reality, all fault lie with the management for replacing Pearson with an always risky duo of no experience in the English league. If Jan has to put up with suggestions and tampering from Lowe (as a result of Hockaday, Prost or any other Lowe advisor) without the power of control, and the results are as poor as they are – you’ve got to question his motives as his own reputation is on the line. He should care enough to react, if that is the case. If our results are 100% result of Jan Poortvliet’s poor management (which I don’t believe for one minute), then he should step down. If he doesn’t, and is not sacked and we persist with this relegation run of results, then someone is pulling the strings and they *cough* won’t accept failure of their own, ill-fated master plan, then arrogance is leading us over the cliff egde! Other managers were given much less time with better results…mentioning no names *cough* Whilst we have at times played some pretty football, the CCC league (as we all professed pre-season) isn’t just about neat passing, it’s about physicality, presence and pushing forward and getting GOALS (F*ck off Mc Goldrick every game too – he hasn’t got it or at least needs time out to compete for his place). Burley tried to play football, forgetting the defence, and look where that got us. I equate Jan to the ill-fated Spurs manager Christian Gross. Zurich, Grasshoppers anyone?! He even looks a bit similar! (well, both baldish). He was from a much lower standard (Swiss) league and not really suited to the massive step up. Sorry to say, I feel he shares certain similarities with Jan. Sad, as it can destroy a manager’s reputation over night. Not that I think that bother’s the management of SFC. WORRYING! N.B. I didn't want to start a individual thread on this, as it's harsh on Jan but something has to give! We need a manager that manages the club, the team! No-one else tampering. Yes, I do believe that happens currently.
  19. Well, don't post on it then!
  20. I don’t know who will go, probably both, but the club aren’t exactly incognito about the whole affair. I’d rather neither but we all know that won’t be the case, especially with the ‘fire-sale’ leader we currently have guiding our collision course club. In fact, they’re doing a good job at attracting attention to the last of our decent players (in the run up to January) by continually talking up Adam and Drew to the media. Surely only coincidental, with our club’s good record for sincerity and transparency! *splutters* A more cynical man may think they’re on a desperate media campaign to sell the pair and wave them under the noses of the Premiership clubs!
  21. YAY! A SCC bashing thread (well, not but easily could be) . . . I’m in!! hehe Some councillor must have a large share holding in traffic light companies as the abundance of traffic lights (even on round abouts) in our city is ridiculous! Traffic light heaven, congestion, stupid traffic claming schemes that don’t work, building an Ikea in the biggest traffic bottle neck/traffic light zone in the city, charging for parking 24/7, wasting money on ridiculous schemes to rival Spinnaker tower…like lasers firing out of the civic centre clock tower (WTF?!)), Taxi ranks away from the main roads/pick up spots and in quieter residential roads, the most brain-dead planning department in Britain…I do wonder where the hell they find these people. Absolute morons! I’d better stop before I get into my stride! When it comes to building, don't even mention the word "tory" *splutters*
  22. Or, he didn't have a hidden agenda and was merely responing to one snidey comment too many from Messrs Lowe and Wilde!
  23. Certainly a lot of hypocritical accusations over the past year (especially the continual blame on Crouch for the muppet board of self-serving execs Wilde appointed, then ran and hid from!) Emanating from both Wilde and Lowe. All across the press, Surprised you missed it…. ***** Rupert Lowe attacks board as he plans return Rupert Lowe yesterday put his name to a wide-ranging attack on the Southampton board and revealed his intention to return as chairman of the club's parent company, Southampton Leisure Holdings. The former chairman issued a joint statement with leading individual shareholder Michael Wilde and former managing director Andrew Cowen in which they criticised a "decline of major proportions" and highlighted what they alleged was "weak management". The statement also accused the club of failing to properly manage and support George Burley, who left to become Scotland manager earlier this year. "Short-sighted policies have replaced long-term planning and it is now time to reintroduce common sense, leadership and clarity to the decision-making process if a crisis has any chance of being averted," said the statement. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/2296108/Rupert-Lowe-attacks-board-as-he-plans-return.html ***** http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/football_league/article3665879.ece ***** Lowe slams Saints board for 'failure' Love the continual hypocrisy. And people wonder why fans on this forum and quick to deride or distrust anything Lowe says… Rupert Lowe, the controversial former chairman of Southampton, has criticised the club's new regime for failing to deliver on their promise to attract big-money investors to the Championship club. In an outspoken attack Lowe, who was ousted last summer, also claimed he has no intention of returning to Southampton, despite fears among the club's directors that recent share transactions might be part of a plot to seize back control at St Mary's. "If the club do not go up this season then they are in serious trouble," Lowe told the Daily Telegraph. "These guys have failed to deliver on their promises. They have mismanaged [manager] George Burley, they have mismanaged the assets. People should be asking what's happened to all the money that was promised?" Rich words about money, considering from Lowe! LOL http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/2310250/Lowe-slams-Saints-board-for-%27failure%27.html ***** Have a browse, much more where that came from! In fact, not even included the plethora of Echo articles, the sparring between the various board factions. Juvenile IMHO. All of ‘em! Whilst Crouch is no choir boy, I find it tricky to trust people like Lowe and Wilde, when most words they utter are lies. Continually catching them out. Crouch has his faults but I do feel he cares for the good of the club, unlike the current two, merely safe guarding (rather badly) their assets; despite how they purport to care. Lowe said (Daily Telegraph April 2007): "I have made it abundantly clear to Leon Crouch that I have no aspiration to return to the club. I would like to sell my shares and move on. I was promised that someone would buy my shares off me the day after I stood down, but I am still waiting..." Hmmm?? No offers then?!
  24. Whilst I agree, there is way too much slanging on here (it’s tedious and tiring – especially as it seems to be over the same old ground) I thought having been “a member for years” and having a post count of merely 4 either suggested smacks of pseudo identities (having been a member for so long yet) or they don’t say much at all (I went with the former). Nowt wrong with keeping your views to yourself though. Perhaps they are more like a voyeur.
  25. Revenge! (and/or a distinct possibility to buy us on the cheap [if not through himself, through one of his insidious business colleagues] post administration…strangers things have happened!) Let’s not forget, in recent years, the club has merely been run as a business playground for egotistical, petty men with no respect for the true supporters of SFC. The sport and spirit of the club are bottom of the agenda and have been swept under the carpets as a result!
