The Echo and Wotte - both ****ing me off...
Gordon Mockles replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
Totally agree. Without intending to sound provocatively cynical, I have heard from a few "associates" that he is pretty arrogant. From having seen a smattering of interviews, I am inclined to agree but I will reserve judgement until a few more post match interviews. However, from what I have heard so far (initial indicators), Wotte seems well up Rupert's arse and in with that weird, murky managerial set-up that no-one is allowed to talk about...Kim van der Waals, etc. Wotte's comments have been quite disrespectful for such a sensitive stage of the season and, in the current climate, he wants to tread VERY carefully. We've more than enough arrogance at St Mary's without him adding to it. Sadly, SFC management don't seem to regard the fans particularly highly. Choosing to patronize fans and negate responses to burning issues. -
Obvious but, by far, the most appropriate... Ebenezer Scrooge "He wants how much for a contract??"

I wasn't going to post on here as there are wayyyy too many Lowe threads - it's getting unhealthy! However, it's lunch, I'm bored so: Casting Lowe as Lt. Danny Roman (Samuel L. Jackson) in 'The Negotiator' would be wayyyy too kind so I'll go for............... Scaramanga - the man with three...FACES! The most suitable photo, complete with smug (ish) grin.

Not really. Oh hindsight can be a wonderful thing. After all, Lowe somehow got let into power first time around, then Askham before that. The main point is - You never know what you're going to get. We all hope and put trust in the board (god knows why as they've never properly served the fans, not like the better clubs with football men on the board : i.e. Sunderland) but it's always a risk. Look at Liverpool with Glazer and Hicks. Clearly, due diligence is of prime importance and the club dropped a huge b*llock with Wilde and co. However, the relationship between the board and Rupert Lowe [first time] had got so bad, with his divisive personality & erratic behaviour, plethora of poor decisions, lack of investment and terrible people skills and football decisions (getting through 10 managers & getting us relegated)...it really was a case of anyone was better than Lowe. How wrong we all were. I freely admit that now, as many other do and have done on this forum. BUT, in typical Saints fashion, bad wasn't good enough. We had to go even lower. We had to appoint a complete novice - a b*llsh*tter and incompetent dreamer in Michael Wilde (who was even worse than Lowe - certainly at managing finances). Wilde's tenure was fundamentally flawed from the onset - his totally unrealistic dreams and complete failure to fulfil any of his promises. That being - his magna carta - The notorious FOOTBALL MANIFESTO. With today's knowledge - a joke to most Saints fans. If he was a politician, he'd be hounded out of office. At SFC, things don't work that way. His biggest mistake - appointing bully-boy parasites like Hone, Dulieu and co. Why did he leave them in charge, dishing out ludicrous contracts we couldn't afford while over-riding Crouch? Because he doesn't have the ability to stand up to anyone, it seems. Some suggest some may have dirt on Wilde?! Who knows. Regardless of the answer, this is not the type of man you want anywhere near a football club. What we do know is this, Lowe and Wilde are failures. Despite Lowe overseeing the stadium (which I give him appropriate credit for, despite my own, personal Stoneham grievances) and the Cup Final, I do believe we could have achieved much more within his first tenure - with some wiser decisions and building on the platform Strachan suggested and so wisely created. Rupert had a different outlook. Ambition is something which has seemingly been constantly ignored in the SFC boardroom, long before Rupert Lowe disgraced our hallowed steps *cough* (Guy Askham). Both Wilde and Lowe have failed dramatically at St Mary's and their actions damaged Saints deeply, perhaps beyond salvation. What is worse is their egos do not allow objective reasoning (certainly not from Lowe who holds the fan base with contempt). They continue to deride the fans, they continue to dismantle the club, they have asset stripped, appointed poor, inexperienced players and coaches and, in having done so, created an avalanche of catastrophic football errors from day one. It gets worse and worse, and more and more frustrating, by the week. They scorn any advice (other than alleged involvement from mysterious advisors), any board intervention while we sit at the foot of the table and they seem to be preparing for league 1 or even worse. What a joke - all because they care about their shares and personal money above the well being of the club. Pathetic!

OOPS! Someone's awoken the gimp! LOL :smt022

Coming from someone named after a Skate manager, I'll take that with an unhealthy pinch of salt! I do agree, I can be quite self-righteous in my ripostes. I just have a strong self-belief, as you suggest. I don't suffer fools lightly and I don't jump to decisions rashly. Sorry if that seems or comes across as arrogant. I just struggle to understand how Saints fans can justify that Rupert Lowe has been anything other than an unmitigated disaster. No-one I have met, outside of this forum, has anything but scorn for Lowe and Wilde. One thing which came across to me from this weekend (march, protests, result, support within St Mary's) was the sheer quality of Saints fans, despite the abysmal treatment and total lack of respect shown by the pitiful Saints management. Even Wotte was disrespectful with his comments on the tele. Ok, calling people tossers is a bit strong by me but we're all passionate (and many enraged) about the terribly incompetent management of our club. Strong feelings and all. Any person who happens to support men (Wilde and Lowe and those who support them like Askham, Richards, etc.) who are destined for failure (with seriously questionable motives) and negligently destroying our club need to ask themselves questions. Yes, there are trolls. Not all but it's certainly clear there are wind up merchants getting some perverse thrill from baiting threads and winding people up. Not paranoia, the syntax suggests many users are the same person in different guises. Anyway, I digress. Oh, thanks for not being patronising though! *cough*

I don't have to answer to the likes of you...pnaarrrr, pnarrrrr. In fact, I would not even give you a straight answer IF I even chose to dignify you with a response so speak to my PR agency instead!!! I employ them to try and twist and manipulate public opinion rather than actually making wise decisions which would actually negate the need for wasting any of my beloved money!
-
Well done guys, top effort! There's a few Lowe trolls on here to ignore but 99% of the actual fans are behind supporting the club and this march certainly helped do that. Made me proud to be a Saints fan (after so much sh*t) so a huge WELL DONE!!
-
Having ignored the obvious trolls and plants, it's great to see Lowe has finally united the fans...against him! LOL Despite our predicament, which is clearly p*ss poor and entirely down to Lowe and Wilde's ludicrous decisions, I do have a quiet chuckle. My reservations and instincts proved spot on. Those trolls and plants are bitter and twisted weirdos. They humiliate themselves and yet STILL cannot shut up, and continue to humiliate themselves. They certainly are not Saints fans. They're just on here to stir up trouble and they cannot tolerate their right wing, megalomaniac idol Lowe has fallen (had he ever taken off?) and is, and always has been, a complete failure. They cannot tolerate the sheer unity (in large numbers) and cohesion of the fans against their caliginous regime, the community spirit that evades them...the laughable attack on Duncan and other posters. Best to ignore. They've nothing better to do with their lives that poke fun of the people fighting to keep our club alive...while the people they purport to support holiday. How can you argue against such stupidity and twisted logic?! Answer, you can't! They'll argue 'til they're blue in the face (probably with an orange stuffed in their mouth! LOL) Ignore the t*ssers!

Some great comments on here and so proud everyone made such effort. A real feel good factor in such adverse circumstances...makes me proud to be a Saints fan! Obviously, we've the usual numpties like Perrin, Manji and Bungle trying their best to muddy the waters and get a rise but luckily most see them for what they are. Some great piccies too so many, many thanks! The Saints really did go marching in!
-
Great! Thanks for the input guys and girls *Errrr, except Manji with his bizarre and pointless attitude towards Saints*
-
All photos here please!! I just thought it would be interesting, for those that can't make the protests and/or game (mobiles and iphones make it easy to send or add data), to share some photos with the rest of us...please. COYS

Saint Chairmen in delusional SHOCKER! As you say, I don't think anyone could have actually run the club any worse, even if they tried. Two absolute wasters who have ruined our club yet cannot see the wood for the trees! Let's hope there are no lumberjacks on the way...

Demonstration for Swansea game- Time and place!!
Gordon Mockles replied to scott_saints's topic in The Saints
A very well thought out post and a sign of a true supporter. Good on you. Sadly, I will not be in attendance. Whilst I'd like to go and agree with everything it stands for, I don't think exposing my toddler's ears to protest chants is conducive for his development. I will certainly be there in spirit and following events closely through the media and friends in attendance (awaiting the mms and text messages!) Must admit, I wet myself laughing at the pathetic hogwash and desperate attempts of the dying beast (Sundance/Nineteen Canteen...Domkop [or whatever he calls himself this week!?]) to undermine this rally by the fans. Despite Lowe's pathetic PR & arrogant obsession with manipulating public opinion (it fails, another lesson not learnt!), fans will turn out and there will be unity (even if we fail to find that inside St Mary's thanks to Lowe's myriad of mistakes & reoccuring abysmal management) Let's hope it goes well, lots turn up and make themselves heard. We need change but I fear it is too late due to Lowe's sheer stupidity and vindictive disregard to the fans. Appointing Wotte showed the level of that arrogant disregard to the fans and football. We want Lowe and Wilde out - questionably the most terrible chairman to ever disgrace the steps of Southampton Football Club. COYS. Supporting Southampton FC may be painful and frustrating but we have no choice but to support and love our club (even if many no longer go to St Mary's as a direct result of Lowe and Wilde returning). We will not let our club die, not without fighting for what we believe is right. Oh when the Saints go marching on... -
Do you believe we can stay up with Wotte?
Gordon Mockles replied to skintsaint's topic in The Saints
Errrr, NOPE! -
Wotte - "I won't panic buy" Nope, just won't buy!

Grow up? Sorry Dad! I bet you're a riot at dinner parties! TBH, I don't care if you take offence. Lighten up. It's not as though Wilde's in a basement, being tied up & tortured. Wilde (& Lowe) have acted like a pair of power hungry tw*ts & shown no respect for the fans or club & in football (like Sugar, Ashley, pretty sure Lowe wouldn't escape, etc.) you get slightly p*ssed up, over zealous or over excited fans doing all sorts of bizarre things. I found it funny. The fact if he came to a game, he'd be killed...sent via e-mail! It's hardly as though some crazed Saints fan climbed onto the roof of St Mary's overnight & built a remote controlled, high powered rifle turret trained on the Director's box...maybe they should!! (that was a joke!!) I find it funny cos Wilde is such a jumpy, scaredy coward! You don't see anyone else kicking up a media storm cos a few isolated incidents of vandalism &, more than likely, empty death threats!! Stop watching so much Ruth Rendell!!
-
SSSHHHHH now Mr Fence sitting non-opinion!! Don't take life so seriously. Wilde and Lowe should expect a back lash from their conduct. Whilst I don't condone it, I don't have that much sympathy for them. They've ruined our club. Now some people have gone a bit far but get over it. FFS.
-
I find it hilarious that Wilde is making such a big deal about the inevitable aftermath of his treacherous neglect of Saints (dont condone it but what must he & Lowe expect - holidaying while the club crumbles?!) while Crouch shareholders were regularly receiving death threats while bully boy Hone was in charge! You didn't see them kicking up a stink as they probably realised they were hollow threats, futile, they had more guts & probably didn't have to endure a huge rally, protesting against their sheer incompetency! Get over it. People want you & Lowe out, the protest is for a reason! PR & spin won't work!!

is fulthorpe teaming up with crouch?
Gordon Mockles replied to lordswoodsaints's topic in The Saints
Regardless of any past rants, any conjecture by myself and supposition - I will be VERY interested to see how Lowe and Wilde (and Lowe's poxy proxy) do act if the worst does happen (which looks more than likely) and we're relegated AND go into admin. I would be very, VERY interested as I do truly believe, always have done, that they joined forces for more than just to protect their shares. Only time will tell...maybe. I do hope I never have to read back to this post and to find it right. Sorry for the conspiracy cr*p. I just trust my instincts. -
That's kind of how I see it. Plus the Pearson money comment, which was b*llocks anyway!! Nigel just didn't fit the model in Lowe's deluded and cloudy head! Maybe cos someone else appointed him and Lowe's all about ego...and dare I say (I truly believe) revenge. Ego - That much has been proved countless times. Revenge - Conjecture but why go skiing during this time, why the AGM fiasco and WHY the big F*CK off to Crouch (i.e. "put up the 6 million yourself, f*ck your proposal and I'll appoint Wotte!")
-
Maybe but don't always be so sure of yourself. Wotte was to be brought in before so I find it suspicious, that's all, that he's in the position now. Maybe if we were doing better, he'd have come in on more money but the timing was not right post Pearson cos they peddled the line that the Dutch duo were cheaper. Do you still believe all these coaches are cheaper? I don't! I also question the responses I've heard from Wotte. Especially as he really made the point that he didn't want the job. Maybe a bit too much, over-emphasizing the point. Hmmmm?? Maybe I've heard so much of Lowe's bullsh*t, manipulating and twisting that I no longer trust anything from the club but most of what I expected, and worse, has sadly come home to roost. I just cannot trust anything from the club with that c*nt in charge!
-
Have you not noticed, in between what little inane info. the club do release, that most of the press reports we read are reactionary? In other words, it's in response to supporter feeling, forums and reports from the club spies/PR gang. Look at the protest plans, all sorts has come out as a result and I'm quite sure actions from the club have been some vain but poor attempt to suppress matters. Wilde reads this forum so it's no wonder he's sh*t scared to be seen out in public. Pair of t*ssers! Believe the rumours about the Dutch idiot/Lowe advisor/scout/spy/no hoper wanting a job in football. Players don't keep quiet about everything they're told not to speak about. And if they are badgering the players too much about releasing info., no wonder morale is soooo c*p!
-
No offence, but YOU THINK! F*ckin damn right. A club statement - Coming from the man who would "not be interested in coming back to Saints". He emits bullsh*t from every pore. While Wilde slithers and scuttles behind him, leaping from shadow to shadow, peering nervously over his shoulder, while galloping towards his awaiting car. What a pair of w*nkers!

Well, you won't get a cent from that c**t Lowe or Wilde...In fact, I think they're waiting for something... I know Lowe went skiing but I didn't realise Mike went too!
