  1. Actually I dont think its that unlikely. He could have easily cleared it with the club that he wanted to watch the game and Chelsea have offered him a seat in a box. Its not really that much different from watchin a game from the directors box. What would be more interesting to know who else was in the same box.
  2. Fa cup was an easier run if I recall.
  3. maybe the manger said get me my specific target but if he is t available until the summer I'm happy with JS. If the case its worked out ok.
  4. More than happy to clutch at straws and icrease hope of watching the great man in action at SMS next season
  5. Lucky, I'm not sure I agree with that. A draw against a team in the top away from home is always a adecent result. No we didn't create much. I've watched far too many saints games away from home and against the top sides over the years and not expected to keep a clean sheet let alone comfortably.
  6. The season is over, the team is winding down and playing teams who still have much to play for (top & bottom) is always going to be very tough. Clearly players are needed in specific positions over the summer although I'm not sure Puel has much input / influence last summer. He needs to be backed to create his own team imo and with the right additions the team will progress. Openly talking about long is encouraging him to sort himself out a move and also let other teams know of his availability. Long is bang averagelet down by his finishing and I will be happy to see him replaced. Happy to see puel stay but only if he is backed
  7. You couldn't make it up. Supporting saints seems to be a rollercoaster
  8. We should take a look at hirst at Sheffield weds. Looks a real talent and has his dads eye for goal. Only young but one for the future
  9. Agree with this too. Add a premier league centreback pairing next season we will be decent.
  10. Shame you don't apply those rules when you work out our net spend.
  11. Sold stones for £50 so net spend of 25m. Could also suggest they bid for sissoko because bolasie is a long term doubt.
  12. Add to the fact that they play the yawn song over the speakers at the beginning ensures that everyone joins in. Its like a Britany Spears lip sync competition
  13. It could be a great season next year. we strengthne at centre back when / if Virgil goes but the position I fear the most is left back. I think McQueen is great prospect but nowhere near ready to be the 1st team fullback. So for me keeping Bertrand is the key but I fear that a few clubs (u tied and Liverpool) need a left back. I hope we can keep hold of him because he tore the mancs a new one yesterday. Awesome display
  14. I agree. We were at the front of the top tier 5 rows back with a disabled section behind us. Further forward a couple of guys continually stood up despite being told that the disabled section no being able to see. I desperately wanted to stand for the hole game but some things aren't right.
  15. really? We were all disappointed but for gods sake. Why did he start on you?
  16. Yes I totally agree. Puels ridiculous training regime that encouraged VVD to stand in an area where vardy could stamp on his ankle whilst his jumping training meant Charlie fell awkwardly on his shoulder. Damn the man.
  17. Agree this is probably the only fair way to allocate tickets. interestingly i know of at least 6 people that share a season ticket because they cant afford / make every game and live away fro soton. so half of these guys miss out but have actually done multiple homes / aways. Another quirk of the system was if you upgraded a ticket from an child ST to an adult ticket in the home cup games (coz your child was in bed) then the upgraded ST didnt count for the early phase purchases. bizarre rule, whats the point in that? Im not sure what I expected when the ticketing office is run by a ***** wit on minimum wage.
  18. gabbiadini tadic boufal ward prowse jayrod could see all 5 scoring
  19. **** me you talk utter shyte
  20. When you say you have been looking in to this, do you actually mean that you have read a couple of random tweets about a death in the family and one random article on barca interest? Oh sorry and you read on a forum somewhere that apparently getting match fit will take 6 weeks. Well based on that hard hitting evidence you may just be onto something!!
  21. yes clearly i meant would not dream of getting involved in identifying technical staff. Although my team understand the type of employee I want working in my company. From a specific skill set requirement i leave that completely down to the manager of the team.
  22. It think you over estimate Cortese's role in identifying football targets. He was a banker / finance guy and would be responsible for overall strategy / leadership of the business. Not a chance he got involved in specifics around scouting etc. I run a business and we employ a whole team of technical IT staff. Whilst i absolutely have driven the companies growth and success I would dream of getting involved in identifying staff outside of my sphere of knowledge.
  23. You really dont know the answer to that one, seriously? We match their transfer budgets, wages and through that demonstrate we can match their ambition. Wont ever happen unless someone (a billionaire) opens their wallet and spends massive money. No other way so just accept where we are in the food chain.
  24. which CB are ready and can be signed?
  25. Don't let the fact Stephens isnt good enough get in the way. Just my opinion though.
