In all of the average SMS figures you printed above all of them show an average of less than capacity yet we need a bigger stadium? You are assuming football crowds will rise year on year and you only have to look at Pompey to see than this is not the case.

Hate to be negative but am going to be anyway as I want a few things clearing up. Firstly what exactly would be so fantastic about being a host city in a world cup. What would it actually mean or bring to the average Sotonian? England would not be playing here so I assume the majority of match tickets would go to the FA's of the country's involved in playing here, the rest would be like gold dust to get. So for most it would be having a beer in town and watching it on the telly. Then there is the presumed increase in capacity. I really can't see where you think we are going to get a regular 40k gate from in 2018, Prem footy or not. I can see the bubble bursting and gates in general being smaller if anything. We rarely had a sell out other than the big 4 a few years ago and I'd rather not have a ground which is nearly always two thirds full. Can't say I'll lose any sleep about the bid failing myself.

I'm not at all surprised that Woods is rumoured to have been cheating. I can't put my finger on it but he always came over as too squeaky clean for me. I'd imagine his fans will be gutted to hear about this and I feel for the honest golfers out there who could have won tournaments had it not been for him. I hope he gets suitably punished.

To save me wading through all this, can some one explain a few things. Don't FIFA require all grounds to be over 40K and if so are we going to extend SMS? Who would fund any extention of SMS and would it be temporary or permanent? We don't need 32K currently let alone 40K. Seems like a lot of effort for a few group games in the world cup.

I think you're still missing the point slightly. I don't want to miss any of the game but the situation is such that you cannot possibly get served anything during the period of half time without missing the end of the first half or the start of the second. If they managed some way of sorting this problem surely everyone would be happy?

The reason people go down to the concourse on 35 mins is it's impossible to get served any later than that. If everyone waited for the half time whistle then the ground would be empty until about 15 mins into the second half. To say people shouldn't have any form of refreshment during a match is ridiculous, how much revenue would that cost the club? Also, why can you not drink in your seat? If you were only allowed alcohol purchased at SMS what difference does it make where you drink it?

+1 I went there Saturday night for the buffet menu. Food was excellent, best Chinese meal I've had in town for a long time. Go there.

As an addition the battery on this phone is also very good, as is the reception compared to my last Nokia. Can't fault it.

I agree with you about the formation but to drop Lamburt is madness. Ok he hasn't been outstanding in the last couple of games but drop him? No way. I think if fit him and Conerly need to play some part in every game if fit. You say Wiago on the right? Would you drop Antoneo for him then or have both in the team?
