It would be interesting to see how Oasis would have got on had they hit the scene 10 years later than they did. I often think that at time the music industry in the UK was crying out for someone like them and that it didn't really matter who it was as long as it overtook Nirvana etc. There's also some comments on here about what the Gallachers are like as people with Liam getting the thug/moron persona and Noel the creative genius. I'm not sure either views are accurate. Noel has never shown an ounce of humility throughout his career and is always the first to knock other bands as if he is the benchmark they should follow. He is not.

They are a brilliant and very talented band IMO. One of the best this country has at present.

I have read this thread with interest and have to admit to being a little confused. Is mini-golf the same as as crazy golf? I know that crazy golf is the one with the windmills and stuff but I can't imagine that is the "sport" that StWill plays. I've had read posts from him commenting on proper golf with some knowledge.

I would put Oasis in the same bracket as the above artists anyway.

For me, this thread appears to be about two things. Firstly whether his conviction was sound or not and we are not going to get to the bottom of that. More importantly as a discussion is should prisoners get let out on compassionate grounds in they are ill? I'm not exactly sure what the policy is on this. I also don't think that money should be a factor as it's about the principle of it surely? It's very hard to differentiate between different prisoners and different crimes. Should a serial rapist be regarded the same as a bank robber? You are still serving a sentence regardless of your state of health. I suppose each case has to be judged on it's individual merits. Interesting thread though.

I find it astonishing that Radiohead can be described as overrated when we have Oasis.
