Anyone on the planet would be better than the sh*tfest that was Bon Jovi supported by Nickelback. Arena gigs are always a letdown generally. We don't need the money now do we?
-
Is this serious? Do you not remember it? I can't see how you can much more serious than the tsunami disaster. Good grief.

Saints at Highbury about 91/92 I would guess. Stood on the clock end terrace and watched Anders Limpar take us to bits.

I like to see Saints players given higher than 7 no matter how they played. It's why I buy the Echo and long may it continue.

Come on Peeps, Saint George has got it all worked out so y'all don't have to worry none. Thank the hot diggedy dawg lord for that!! Yeee haaaa....

Where is Stu to comment when you need him? This thread needs a balanced debate. Obviously getting rid of the Uni's from Soton is a ridiculous piece of over exaggeration. That said I went out around Bedford place on a Tuesday night a while back and was astonished at how busy it was. The 99p promotion were everywhere and this has to be looked at. A student or anyone can go out and get hammered on £20, try doing that on a Saturday night.

The slating of Wetherspoons on here is utter ****e. I had Chicken ham and leek pie with chips and peas in the Standing order today and it was very nice. All for £3.99.

Exactly right. They were far better than us all over the park.

I cannot wait for this to start again. I like it when they argue about lack of food and eat creepy crawlies in the trials. I hope that they do that again this year.

Saints v Leeds at Wembley. The JPT dream final and a sell out.

Rockcliffe's babies and the Equaliser. You can lock this now.

When I take loads of mates/TSW guys out for breakfast, I always choose Pizza hut.

I couldn't care less about this clean sheet nonsense. Bang in 5 and let them have have one.

What stuff has sell by and what stuff has use by then? I always assumed when looking at a date on anything that that was the date you could safely consume it by. Why would I want to know when it can be sold by?

It is a sad time for English football when you read of proposals like this. It's getting to the point where the matter of playing the sport of football on a Saturday afternoon will be an secondary affair compared to the importance of running a multi million pound commercial venture such as a football club. Where will we be in 10 years and will the fans that support these super clubs actually want to be there? Somebody (FIFA) should make a stand and immediately cut player wages by three quaters and put a cap on it. Return the sport to the fans, make it affordable and reduce the gap between CL clubs and the rest of us.

Should we be offered a referendum on the EU?
Junction 9 replied to View From The Top's topic in The Lounge
There have been many views on this thread so far stating that in a democracy we should all be able to have a say. We do, when we democratically vote in a party in a general election. These people are elected to make decisions on behalf on the electorate. The policies they choose to implement from that point onwards they are trusted with. If the public were to be consulted where would you draw the line? Re-classing cannabis, hold a referendum. Lower the maximum speed limit, hold a referendum. Obviously such things as the constitution and our armed forces are far more critical but governments have made decisions on our behalf for centuries so who is to decide which topics require our say and which aren't? If, God forbid Brown was asked whether to push the button should we have an X factor type phone vote to come to a conclusion? Love them or hate them these elected people are governing us until May at least and it's impossible to say if the choices they are making are better or worse than the ones influenced by a referendum. -

Firstly I agree with Ponty in the fact that a referendum would be wasted on the majority as it would probably end up in a No vote for no good reason other than the "We should remain British" type sentiment. Why do people in this country think that anytime we get involved in Europe it's the case that all the other countries on the continent are there to gang up on Britain and start meddling in our affairs to our detriment? We are all equally signing this treaty and Britain still remains a powerful force in Europe regardless. There are enough people moaning about MP's and political parties by our citizens yet when they hear someone in Brussels might be making a decision there is outrage. Maybe they will be better at it and improve our daily lives? Time to move on and away from our island mentality if you ask me, there are many admirable qualities we can learn from our neighbours on the continent and I for one and happy to be a little closer to them. -
I am a massive fan of Spooks but thought last nights was very average. I hope they haven't run out of ideas for this series as it felt like they re recycling stuff last night.

Plucked from obscurity by a talent show and now has the cheek to mock others. She's no oil painting herself.

I've often wondered if these posters are all the same. Remove Kadeem from that list and I'm 100% sure the others are.

It's ARE. Are we going to get an answer then?
-
Yes, it's unbelievable that there are some Saints fans who don't have an irrational hatred for another set of footballs fans that live up the road. Can you not see the irony in your statement? You say they are all the same for hating us and then can't believe we don't all feel the same way. Thankfully we don't ALL share your views.

I was on holiday and missed the programme but I understand it turned into a bit of a farce. If true it's a shame that a decent opportunity to ask Griffin some important political questions was lost. There aren't many programmes with the format of QT around, the BBC should have handled this episode differently if you ask me.

Is my mate responsible for our good form?
Junction 9 replied to lordswoodsaints's topic in The Saints
Just coincidence if you ask me. Players have abuse shouted at them all the time and I don't see how this comment should be any different.
