  1. So you agree that we need a CB and striker then. Cool.
  2. Your continual failure to debate the issues says much about you. Your mentality was exposed on the lounge recently. You are quite clearly incapable of debating sensibly. I suggest you ignore me in future if you are unable to do so sensibly without pointless and off topic comments.
  3. two teams plus three
  4. That just doesn't tally with Fontaine coming down to sign but then there being complications with the medical. We just wouldn't have come up with some elaborate plan to pretend to sign someone right up until their medical before sending them back purely because we were waiting for a top player from Italy.
  5. Which is what Adkins wants too. We have that competition in midfield with Schneiderlin, Hammond, Chaplow and Cork and that has made them all lift their games. Why not strive to have that at CB and up front as well?
  6. We have strength in depth in some areas but I would like a strong team. If lambert or fonte get injured then we don't have much to replace them with.
  7. We clearly need another option other than lambert as we are too reliant on him. So far it has been fine but later on in the season we may struggle if he gets injured or loses form. I would like to see assign a quality cb and a striker and I have been consistent with that view since the start of the summer.
  8. I would suggest that we would not have made certain changes whatever the previous result (the likes of lambert are virtually guaranteed a starting spot) simply because we don't have sufficient enough players to replace them with.
  9. What are you basing that on? All available evidence (including the qpr fan on here) suggests otherwise. That is a reply to wopper btw.
  10. You didn't read what he wrote.
  11. Yes they are and it isn't really going to help us in the long term. Thanks for your input flyer.
  12. Supply and demand. Young talented English players always sell for a lot more than others. Just look at shearer all those years ago. It's bot really ridiculous to buy Rodriguez for six million because if he continues to progress as seems likely, he will be worth a lot more and any clubs buying him from us in a few years will be paying over the odds then due to his nationality. It's the way it is.
  13. Yep that is the point, not the lack of a centre back, but an inability to close out deals appears to be a bit of a problem and I do wonder if this has hampered our progress in the transfer market to a degree.
  14. Not really considering his age.
  15. Then don't visit the forum is my advice if you prefer not to post your opinions.
  16. People are forgetting that the Latvian poster on here who has been speaking directly to Gorkss says that this is not the case.
  17. The long standing Latvian poster on here who had been talking to him said that we were and that we pulled out at the last minute to pursue Fontaine.
  18. Thanks mate. That's quite a few of who I would consider to be decent posters (um Pahars, yourself, CB Fry) who believe that anything perceived as negative is jumped on and the poster abused.
  19. Presumably you are referring to me in the later part of your paragraph. Just pointing out now that I never said either of those things.
  20. As I said, I post positive things when I see positives and post otherwise when I see negatives. Saying I post nothing but negativity is wide of the mark.
  21. Yes I think it would be worth it TBH. We won't have lost any money after our OC windfall and it will significantly boost our promotion chances- something worth about 90 million. Coupled with the fair play rules coming in, this may be our final chance to use our financial muscle to strengthen. Once we are in the prem, players like Jay Rod would no doubt cost more, so it is worth getting them in now to develop with us.
