  1. I don't think anyone wants us to spend over our means but I think that if we sell Puncheon then with the Chamberlin money that's 16 million. Not unreasonable to expect some of that to be spent on a player or two to fire us to promotion.
  2. Not to mention crouch and jones as well. Depressing
  3. Indeed. Just because this place is less entertaining and amusing than it used to be, doesn't mean it isn't still of interest or a place worth commenting on.
  4. We shall see! Personally I think he would be worth it but I can't see us spending that much. Would be nice of we did though.
  5. So it says that 6 million may be required, not that we are going to bid that much
  6. 6 months? This place hasn't been truly entertaining since saintsforever.
  7. Ah right my mistake. Carry on!
  8. Well if what you say is true, am I out of place for suggesting that setting our sights higher than hopper is a ridiculous tactic?
  9. Change the last line to 'in April he'll eat toasted skate with chips and mushy peas'.
  10. Mobile autocorrect is not always useful. Anyway any suggestions?
  11. Meant to be where. Stupid mobile!
  12. Dont want an excessive price (25 quid and under). Any suggestions for a place that does a decent cut?
  13. So of the teams left in the cup, who are the strongest ones?
  14. Although probably another consideration.
  15. Oh dear. It's going to be Lee will rock you isnt it.
  16. Yep I heartily agree.
  17. You want them simple with no more than a couple of lines or it won't be sung.
  18. Ta- da da da da da Na Ta da da da Na ri. (hey Jude)
  19. Excellent. Lets hope that the other interested party (apparently a consortium) have similar 'credentials.'
  20. Who scored?
  21. Anything changed since 1975?
  22. Plenty of strikers make moves to a bigger club without going on strike. There are plenty of smarter and more professional ways to go about it.
  23. Tiredness in the regular players, lack of depth as we were unable to give the regulars a rest without seeing a big drop in quality, the terribly unfortunate injury to Chaplow got rid of our urgency in midfield, teams have figured us out more and close us down quicker than before and are not as open, Lambert has been out for a few games and we don't do much to change things (or we don't have the resources to make effective changes.) if our setup with Lambert as the main man isn't working, Lallana has come back from injury and not reached the same heights as he did before. Those are the reasons why IMO.
  24. Well yes I saw the SAF reference too but I thought Phil was talking about someone else. Saint David? (BTW trousers I consider you something of an old friend on here considering the amount of takeover sagas we have frequented over the years. It has been emotional!)
