  1. That isn't crazy. If they didn't pay then the nursery would be losing money because there could be another child in their place full time who does attend nursery when he is home on the holidays.
  2. It is a fact that sending your children to nursery AND spending time at home with them is the best way to bring up a child in general
  3. Lol so he did. That's funny. Amended.
  4. I would like to be the first to specifically request 2 tickets if anyone has any spare or cannot go. I can pay whenever.
  5. Loans: De Laet Halford, Cotterill Hogg Dickinson Out of Contract Hreidarsson, Nugent Will be Off Lawrence Mokoena Ciftci Ward so potentially left with Kitson (on huge wages) Flahavan, Mullins, Ashdown, Rocha, Kanu (lol two years left on his contract) and Webber although I'm not certain about Ciftci and Ward. We all know it won't happen like that though, Steve has already enquired about signing Halford and Cotterill permanently I believe. David Norris is widely reported as coming in and there will be other Kitson and Lawrence signings no doubt.
  6. Used to have him on an old football manager. He was my best player. Hero.
  7. Lets look at their starting 11 from Saturday: So out of a squad of eighteen, I make that just eight, if we are generous, that are evidence of Portsmouth looking to cut costs and not trying to gain an advantage over championship rivals that they cannot realistically afford (and only two if you just look at the starting eleven!) If I recall correctly, Ciftci and Ward are also being let go at the end of the season (apologies if not, I'm not a PFC expert.) It really is a wonder that the authorities haven't made more of an issue out of it. One other thing, I hear that Cotterill is researching the USA and Thailand as locations for their pre season tour. What a f*cking joke.
  8. Unbelievable that Clotterill is still advocating a quality over quantity approach yet wanting a bigger squad than this season on reduced wages. Seems like they are attempting a quality AND quantity approach to me, certainly in comparison to this season. Once again they are gambling with the finances in order to get players and produce performance which are above their status as a club. What's most galling is that they will bleat on about how hard done by they are the entire time! If they got a bunch of journeymen pros, played some of their youngsters with potential (I'm looking at the likes of Pack, Ciftci, Ward and Ritchie most of which I believe have either been sold for a nominal fee or given away) and adjusted to their realistic status as a club (somewhere above S****horpe I would suggest, where avoiding relegation should be deemed a success.) then they would gain a modicum of respect from he rest of the footballing world. At least when we went into admin we were consoled by the fact that we cut our cloth and did everything we could to avoid it. Following relegation we vowed we would never be in that situation again. The festering pile of rotting garbage that is PFC used admin as a get out of jail card, and means they can continue to offer contracts well in excess of what the majority of NPC clubs can afford, despite many of these clubs having higher attendances than them, higher sources of income and not having gone into admin writing off tens of milions in the process. It is disgusting that PFC have been able to payback a tiny percentage of what they owe so that they are free to spend remaining cash on the likes of Lawrence, Norris and Hogg, outbidding even wealthy clubs like QPR and Ipswich. They are a streaming open sore on the face of football and nothing would please me more than for them to be relegated next season, not for their previous indiscretions but for their continuing defiance which spits in the faces of the charities, schools and local businesses they have conned
  9. FFS does it really matter?
  10. Was it Hamilton Saint from Canada who was the world's biggest pedant on here?
  11. It annoys me that lose is spelt wrong.
  12. Come on saints. Nice easy Tuesday win. Weston Saint will be pleased as he got the 2-0 he wanted to complete the set!
  13. Sounds like we are playing well as well. Some promising stuff.
  14. Not sure anyone said we were broke, simply that we have reduced financial circumstances. As our policy is clearly to prioritise youth players (who can actually be sold for a profit if needed) then this signing doesn't really signal any change to what the situation could be. It is a promising signing though and I will look forward to seeing him next season.
  15. Try to stick to commenting on the matches rather than other posters in post match reaction threads, otherwise you look like an idiot.
  16. No of course not. I expressed disappointment at our first half performance based on the comments of my friend, the fact we were losing and the comments of the commentators. I couldn't really have used anything else unless I had been there, something I would have loved but unfortunately I have no money at the moment so was unable to (I considered going hungry for Saturday but thought better of it.)
  17. Which is total nonsense and the only reason he said anything is because I was the one who posted. The only thing I said at 2-0 down was that IF it finished 2-0 then it would be very disappointing. I don't think anyone can disagree with that. I don't think anyone really expected us to score three goals after that and it was a very pleasant surprise. The odds of it happening must have been pretty long though considering it is the first time we have done so in about ten years. There is nothing wrong with hoping that the team gets better in a match whilst being disappointed at the current level of performance. Deppo said he was annoyed at people writing off the whole season which I never did. I also find it particularly pathetic that people are criticising people for their immediate reactions after going 2-0 down rather than enjoying the excellent comeback and the character from us. It makes the likes of deppo look extremely hypocritical and petty.
  18. GK (maybe) CB RM CM Striker
  19. That never happened.
  20. He is under 18 so we can sign him.
  21. Villa are a proper 'big' club. ALways liked them and would be sad if they got relegated. I really want Wigan, West Ham and Ian 'funny' Holloway to be relegated. Blackburn can go next season.
  22. Whatever you thought of Pardew, he was top notch at getting decent players in. Fonte is my favourite player. If we fail to get promoted the saddest thing for me will be losing a player of his obvious class.
  23. Anyone know the type of player he is and if he is any good?
  24. I never wrote anyone off. On 52 minutes it sounded as if we were performing very poorly. My friend sent me a text from the game which confirmed that. I said in the comments of the match that if it stayed as it was it was very disappointing. Obviously after the comeback it was a fantastic win and I said so but nothing wrong with commenting on the match as it unfolds, otherwise we might as well just not have a matchday thread and just comment on the result.
  25. TBF it would be nice to have a confortable victory AND a cracking performance just once in a while. Games like today will do for now though
