Just because we haven't done it much doesn't mean we can't. There's loads of examples of smaller teams bringing in good keepers.
-
I just don't see why we don't bring in a half decent keeper. It's probably the easiest position to sign someone for.
-
That would be quite depressing.
-
Only been had if I believe him! I'm very sceptical but transfer gossip is more fun than no transfer gossip.
-
I could see him on loan though.
-
Give him a break. I saw him jogging round the common the other week.
-
Don't think I believe it either to be honest. Interesting to speculate though.
-
I was told the second player was Ramsdale but to be fair he could be taking the piss so big pinch of salt.
-
Could be. Person who told me only recognised two.
-
One is Adam.
-
Could be a mate winding me up but I'm told two medicals done today.
-
To be fair, it's probably why we have been linked to so many this early. It feels like we want to get a lot done early doors. Let's hope so.
-
Yes but the price isn't right.
-
I consider it pretty likely that we need two strikers. You would hope that the inexperienced punt that could come good would be someone like the Aberdeen striker which leaves us with a big money signing striker you would hope if we can get one who agrees to come. That isn't Broja IMO he really hasn't shown enough to suggest that he will be a surefire hit to the degree that we would spend a wedge on him. Given the fact that we will probably have to spend a decent amount on an AM too, I can't see us taking the gamble. The only reason the asking price is so high is because he is on the books of a big club.
-
On the face of it that's pretty underwhelming.
-
For 15 million it could be worth a punt if Martin thinks he can get a tune out of him. Anything more than that and in my view it's an unacceptable risk when we already have Stewart returning from injury. We probably need to spend 25-30 million on a top quality striker when Adams leaves and we want to minimise the chances of them being a flop.
-
I agree that is much more likely. Charles should get a loan to play regularly in the championship.
-
I don't see what he's done to be worth that much money.
-
Blimey if we go into the season with Charles as backup to Downes I'd say that relegation would be pretty likely.
-
I have to agree. In fact he's so poor that if he is in the squad next year I believe he will be blocking someone else with more promise from having a place. If we have to keep him then he absolutely needs to go on loan.

I typed a quick reply to you whilst doing other things, bizarre you think it takes me much time at all or that I'm particularly bothered by your mischaracterisations. Pointing it out is like shooting fish in a barrel love. You've ignored the other video I posted with views totally opposed to my own so you're wrong. As usual you've demonstrated an inability to listen to anyone who doesn't agree with you. It's why you freak out if someone challenges your narrative of "facts." It's a shame but I can't see that changing unless your approach does.
-
What the fuck are you talking about? I didn't scour anything, it popped up as the latest triggernometry video on YouTube - a channel I am subscribed to and just like I listened to Norman finkelstein on there and others with views I largely disagree with I gave it a watch and thought he raised some interesting points. You've been banging on about other people being closed minded and not looking at a range of opinions yet when I demonstrate examples of doing just that - you mischaracterise it and suggest I'm doing the opposite of what I'm actually doing. Why not practice what you preach and seek to engage sensibly with views opposed to your own? You never know, with a sufficiently open mind you might actually learn something for a change.

For good or bad we will be playing russball or a variation of it. I don't think Sulemana for example can do anything other than use pace and dribble which we clearly aren't going to do much. Alcaraz may have some success but I'm not sure he can be effective out of possession for the team. Could be wrong of course but it wouldn't surprise me if they are sold or loaned out.
-
If they didn't play in the championship I don't see why people think Sulemana and Alcaraz are going to play I nthe prem. I don't think either suit Russball and we can't afford to have them on the wage bill and not play them.

If you're not closing yourself off then I'd give the link I posted a watch. He's challenged on his views with some of the talking points from here and imo counters them quite effectively.
