  1. Right firstly I am almost certain that many of the people who came to see ManU were not saints fans. Secondly EVERY SINGLE CLUB gets a significant drop in attendance if they get a prolonged time in the lower tier. It's a fact. Add to that the Lowe factor, the complete dross we have had to endure on the pitch for a number of season and you know all the other reasons FFS. 24 quid to watch that last season was a total joke. People point to Norwich but they have a board who listen to their fans and who price their tickets accordingly. The easy option is to blame the fans but it is just wrong. Not attending saints aid does not mean a supporter does not care, and that fact does not change just because you helped to organise it. Maybe some people believe that it was not as an important and significant even as you would have liked.
  2. Well the low attendance as made little difference in the scheme of things so I suppose that's good.
  3. Quite simply I disagree and it is an insult to the fans to say that. It's this attitude that I fundamentally disagree with. What other club has had to deal with what we have over the past five years? I think I'm going to organise a sponsored march, all proceeds to SFC. I'm going to advertise it a week before and if only a few people turn up I'm going to turn on the fans and suggest that it is their fault when SFC goes under. It doesn't work like that.
  4. Which is what annoys me so much. It's all very good people organising all manner of things but then they can't expect everyone just to turn up just because they say they are doing their bit and that it is definitely going to save the club. I've gone above and beyond IMO last season and many others have too. To make sarcastic comments and suggest that the fans don't care is below the belt. When we get fantastic turn outs at games and when I see the people at Forest away I know how much people care.
  5. People will go because of the local bands and venues bit. The reason people will not have gone is because either they weren't interested in the bands available or they didn't believe any extra finance they had would ultimately save the club and that has proven to be the case.
  6. BTW great win for Federer today. Showed real heart to come through.
  7. Nothing against Murray I just prefer Fed when he is on top form (granted he needs a coach because he has lost his way this past year.) and I prefer Federer's attitude.
  8. I actually attended. If people wanted to go for that reason then fair enough. If they were going because they thought they were going to save the club then they were wrong.
  9. We were right though
  10. So you did. Apologies. My friend must have logged in and read it.
  11. Stu are you doing this?
  12. Great post.
  13. So it's not a "name" and hasn't been mentioned on here. Can't be too many though because almost everyone with hundreds of millions has been on here at some point! Did you get my PM by the way the other day?
  14. I agree with that (except I'm not overly keen on Murray). Federer is just honest. When he plays brilliantly he says he has and when he doesn't he says that too! It's just that normally he plays well so what is he supposed to say? That he played awful? I think he needs a good coach again though because he has been poor by his standards this year. Hope he can win the French and then Wimbledon again though.
  15. Has the name been mentioned on here then?
  16. It wasn't advertised properly, no one knew who the legends appearing were, it was overpriced and most sensible people knew it would make zero difference to the final outcome (and so it has proved.) People aren't stupid, they aren't going to give 20 quid of their hard earned money in a recession when the likelihood is it will make no difference to anything.
  17. What about the people involved now
  18. Meh. I like Federer.
  19. It's really odd on here because every figure in saint's history except ted bates and MLT has at least someone on here who hates them and wants a moan about them. It's nice that this doesn't happen for these two.
  20. Correct.
  21. Thanks for understanding my point of view.
  22. Read the letter. That isn't the case.
  23. Murray will lose in the quarters.
  24. Problem is you can't prove mismanagement. They could bar them from ever getting into a position of power at another football club I suppose!
