  1. So you can't disagree with the direction of the government without being accused of not giving it enough thought? Plenty of people on the left I've seen disagree vehemently with Labour. Are they similarly hard of thinking?
  2. Whatever saintsweb posters think of the government, the public aren't thrilled to put it mildly.
  3. That would be your speculation not mine. In any case, it's certainly animated George Galloway.
  4. You're probably right. I just like known quantities already so n the English league. I hope we get at least a couple of those type of signings in.
  5. What are all these male models doing firebombing Sir Kier's personal property? Apparently refers to himself as Ukrainian which is the same as the other one. Ukrainian terror ring?
  6. I think we will inevitably bring loans in because they are a great way of bringing in quality without affecting the bottom line.
  7. I think we will spend more than that but if we don't, then at least a couple of those players will be loans instead.
  8. The most important thing to decide is what hilarious and demeaning name we are going to give Will when he starts fucking up. Will (pig) swill?
  9. Fair enough. It was a big post so not all my valuations will be accurate. How about 15 and Edozie.
  10. Literally no one is going to turn down Bayern to stay with Southampton. Had Still been in the same position he would have done the same thing.
  11. What is that based on regarding Rohl? If Blackmore is correct then it's us not paying compensation that is the issue rather than Rohl.
  12. I didn't say he guarantees success. I don't really understand anyone that would rather have will still over Cooper.
  13. I'd say he's the least risky available candidate. Bit of a moot point though as I doubt he'd want to come.
  14. Sell Onuachu and we can afford that.
  15. If what Blackmore says is true, looks like Rohl is our first choice but they don't want to pay compensation. That's a real bummer if accurate.
  16. Bollocks are we. If Ipswich keep McKenna we are the top championship job other than Leicester.
  17. The ginger point is most important.
  18. Honestly? Probably not an awful lot better than this season. I just don't think we can get players in that would be successes in the prem. Players like kone are young and so could develop into a top player. Johnston has European pedigree and I'd be confident he could do well, same with Charles and possible Edwards. Azaz has been class this year for Middlesborough but he's not better than Fernandes and Sargent would be a squad player in the prem. If we went up we'd probably need about 7 new starters with possibly Johnston Doak if Liverpool sell Sainz And maybe Azaz making the step up.
  19. He signed for us just after he turned 27 which was pretty much the exact same age that Lambert was when he signed for us. Who knows how successful Stewart would have been if he hadn't had that horror injury. We should never have signed him but it is bizarre to suggest that he's poor because a big club hadn't come in for him given that our best signing in the last twenty years was in the exact same position.
  20. He has barely played in the Championship!
  21. Johansson Johnston Mee Edwards Wellington Charles Lowe Doak (loan) Sainz Azaz Kone/Sargent Sell Ramsdale 20 million, Dibling 30 million, THB 25 million, Downes 15 million, Fernandes 25 million, BBD 5 million, Onuachu 3 million, Sugawara 4 million, Bednarek 4 million, Sulemana 5 million Archer 7 million Call it 140 million. Johansson - Stoke 7 million Johnston- Sturm Graz- 5 million Mee- Free agent Lowe- Sheffield Wednesday - 4 million Doak- Liverpool- 3 million loan fee Sainz - Norwich- 12 million Azaz- Middlesborough- 15 million Kone- Wycombe- 2 million Sargent- Norwich- 15 million Total: 63 million Keep Armstrong, Bree, Bazunu, Wood, Manning, maybe Smallbone, Stephens and Stewart for the squad. Bin KWP, Lallana, Lumley, Fraser We might need another attacking option and definitely another AM but that team would be playoffs minimum and possibly more. Also has the advantage of having almost nothing to do with the losers from this year.
  22. Whilst I don't disagree, if Still starts to do badly 100% he will get dogs abuse for being young and ginger.
  23. I don't think we will go up but I have heard this a lot and can't stand it. Failing to win promotion more likely than not will mean that the following season will be more of a challenge. We will be forced to sell some more promising players, have less money and will be competing for promotion with more teams with parachute payments. Sure another season down might be a positive but I will never understand someone wanting it to happen. If we don't go up after two years then there's every chance that we stay down permanently.
  24. That's fine. Martin got us promoted so if Lampard did the same you could say he was a success.
