When you look at it like that, you can really see the downgrade in our attack.
-
Yes I agree. If the poor house is the way forward then they coukd have been a little more honest about it, or at least not falsely built up expectations.
-
No offence but the key players just shift onto the next one as soon as one is sold. The likelihood is that all three of those remaining will also be sold.
-
No he asks a question - how much will they spend to get those goals back? The answer coukd well be that we've already brought in the replacement and we are satisfied with what we've got. It could maybe mean that we think the goals will come from elsewhere in the team.
-
He doesn't say that?
-
Under Gao he essentially didn't invest anything and incomings and outgoings were roughly balanced. It feels like we are doing something very similar here with sales making up for the transfers from last year.
-
Certainly looks that way and I feel a bit silly for defending them so staunchly over spending money earlier this year. Seems like I fell for their PR a bit sadly.
-
So what's the difference between Sports Republic and Gao?
-
So 150 million with Tella. Maybe 165 with Adams.
-
How much cash have we brought in now? Has someone kept a tally?
-
What do we think the starting 11 will end up looking like then? Bazunu Holgate Stephens Wood Manning Downes Charles/Smallbone Alcaraz/Hove Fraser Edozie New striker Cross our fingers it's enough.

People jizzed themselves and called Wilcox a genius because he got a few million more for Lavia.

Whatever you say pal!

You can be relaxed about the prospect of something occurring in April (albeit, we are likely to not have three of them left which is what I was relaxed about) and then change that opinion four months later as circumstances change. It's really as simple as that.

Not all of us need to self medicate with alcohol sue xxx

Almost 4 months later, situations change. It's quite clear that selling Tella and Adams now is not the answer. It would have been different in June or July.
-
I think we will definitely replace Adams with a striker. The point is, that striker has to hit the ground running and be as good or better than Adams if we are to have a chance of promotion. It's such a big risk and that's before we get to losing Tella as well. It's all so disappointing.
-
I was relaxed about the prospect of losing a few of them (keeping three hopefully) back in April. It's a very different scenario after an entire preseason and a month of games with the season well under way and with almost no time to bring in alternatives and the ones we have brought in being of questionable quality and temperament against quality that is proven in this division. Had we brought in our striker and a Tella replacement a month ago then things may have been different with a month to gel and learn Martin's system. As it is, Adams and Tella were set to be key signings this year. It's a huge blow to lose them at this point.
-
Selling Tella, Adams and maybe KWP at this point is a ridiculous thing to do and a huge risk that may very well cost us promotion. That doesn't change whoever we bring in.
-
We won't be keeping three.
-
I wonder if the official announcements of the sales will bother to say about reinvesting in the squad.
-
It's just a load of cope. Just like when you claimed we ha done sufficient attacking transfer business last year by bringing in Mara.
-
Indeed I was relaxed about it in April. That was prior to us selling them all and bringing in Ryan Fraser in on loan. I also talked about keeping three of them. That doesn't seem likely now does it.

From bad to worse. And people accused me of negativity! Just kwp to go to complete the set.

So is it only football that you have a problem with technology or sport in general?
