Daryl Davis is a genuine hero and his story is remarkable. Also worth hunting out his interview on Joe rogan from a few years ago.

A gender neutral term like partner or lover would be more inclusive.

Which weirdly enough is pretty much what I said to Tim at the time. A few on here come across as sanctimonious bellends but at the end of the day, it's a poxy football forum and I'm sure in real life the vast majority are perfectly pleasant individuals you can have a pint with. That's certainly been my experience with the few I've met anyway.

The jester hat, wig and red and white face paint should be warning enough not to mess with you.
-
That's an interesting stance considering the private support I offered you when guided missile was threatening to sue you in real life. I suppose that's another example of the tolerant and empathetic left wing I keep hearing so much about.
-
I'm up for that. I'll be the one in the Katie Hopkins tshirt chanting "Oh Tommy Tommy" through Maidstone High Street.
-
It's infinitely more tedious when you reply every time someone else reacts to a post.
-
The saga of Maidstone continues...

What does any of it have to do with not being in the EU?

Because moralising from giant corporations tha sell you sugary cans of muck is nauseating.
-
You see I'm totally against the trespass and the violence but then I read something like this and it makes me that tiny bit more supportive of violent disorder:
-
Were there significant groups of people both on here and in the media who tried to downplay violence and disorder coming from political groups emanating from the left? Are some of these same people now condemning violence and disorder from groups emanating from the right? Does this stance leave them open to accusations of having a subjective set of morals dependent on identities? I could trawl back through here and mainstream media articles to provide the answer for you but I think you already know that it's yes.
-
Because loada of people on here showed that they were unable to do that. Most of what we read was apologism for BLM riots because they agreed with the cause.
-
I agree. There can be no complaints about a robust security response even though its unfortunate that someone has been killed. My only problem is with those people who are trying to say that one lot of rioting and violence is better than the other lot because they have sympathy for the cause.
-
I'd say rioting in general is pretty disgusting. I find it quite easy to condemn it regardless of the identity of the rioters. It's only some people that want to suggest that some forms of rioting are more acceptable than others.
-
I don't think many people were equating directly between the two, but there is a tendency from some partisans on either "side" to try to play down actions that would be condemned were they being committed by their opponents. Thus you get the news reports about mostly peaceful fiery protests from cnn and the likes of fox news blaming the libs for the actions yesterday.
-
He was probably referring to black lives matter.
-
Thanks but I don't need some judgement of empathy from people on here whose level of empathy appears to fluctuate depending on the skin colour or political affiliation of the people involved. You have zero empathy for those you disagree with politically and then have the cheek to state that I lack empathy so your opinion can be safely disregarded.
-
The baddies? What are you talking about? Sounds like you need a lie down. The main difference between someone like myself and partisans like you is that I disavow and call out violence and lawlessness where I find it. That means calling it out regardless of which political affiliation happens to be tacitly or overtly endorsing it. I don't have to check if someone is on the left or the right before I condemn looting, rioting and violence. It appears that you have a somewhat different agenda.
-
Pointing out the laughable hypocrisy of cnn isn't solely a right wing trait. You can also do that and think that the scenes yesterday are a disgrace. Amazingly there is nuance in the world.

I think the fact this has taken place should turn an awful lot of people against him and you should hopefully see a rejection and acceptance of Biden. I could be wrong but that's my feeling.
-
Ah well in that case I agree with you and I apologise for the misunderstanding.
-
I missed out the word people. You and others like you keep bringing up other agitators as if I'm somehow an apologist for this sort of thing. I'm not and it's quite telling that you thought I'd be some sort of partisan for the right wing. I don't support violent protests and senseless destruction wherever it stems from and particularly when it comes from an inability to accept an election result and the refusal to enact the peaceful transfer of power. They are cretins and need locking up.
-
It's really weird that you keep bringing them up. The behaviour of these people is disgusting and they should be condemned unequivocally.
