  1. Regardless of what you thought of cortese- and I really disliked him- he was prepared to sack adkins even when adkins had done well. These guys won't even sack the worst performing Premier league manager over a season.
  2. What I don't understand is if they do absolutely nothing now and we get relegated as we almost certainly will, surely they will get much more stick than making a change and trying to change something.
  3. Put this on a while ago and added another £20 a few weeks later when I couldn't believe the odds. Either we stay up and I'm happy or we go down and I have some cash to make me feel better.
  4. The likes of jonnyboy, Saint_Ash and Lord duckhunter from the first page have highlighted their poor judgement by deriding the views of people who watch and attend games and could see exactly where this was heading back in October. If only the board had listened to those awful "bedwetters" and "reactionaries" back then we may not be in this mess.
  5. Looks like I called it...
  6. Yep. Probably too late anyway but it's literally our very last chance to possibly stay up. He needs to go this week.
  7. Because he can't help being totally inept. He's quite clearly way out of his depth but if the board refuse to sack him then I can't blame him for jot wanting to leave his well paid job voluntarily.
  8. The only apology acceptable is his resignation.
  9. I don't blame him at all. Anyone in his position would do the same thing. That said he should have gone in November. It's astounding he is still here.
  10. Pretty sure no manager has kept their job under these circumstances before. We are unique in English football.
  11. Something is going on behind the scenes
  12. Not worth discussing. I didn't watch the game but have heard it was exactly the same as normal. Nothing will change till he leaves.
  13. Goals to price ratio he will be the worst striker to ever grace the league if he doesn't score.
  14. Joint pitch invasion?
  15. Made the decision not to watch today. Seems I've been vindicated.
  16. Undoubtedly the worst.
  17. If we fail to win for the rest of the season, will mope have the worst win percentage for a manager to survive a season?
  18. We'd get about 6 million.
  19. Had he picked gabbi for tadic and sims maybe for redmond then I don't think anyone would be complaining.
  20. Cb fry will be chuffed with that!
  21. It's why I didn't bother going through it all again. He isn't interested in any answers or meaningful discussion, he just wants to virtue signal and makes himself feel superior to all the evil racists on here. Probably the most close minded individuals I've ever had the misfortune to have a discussion with on here which is saying something!
  22. Meanwhile, that bastion of democracy that is the EU shows its true colours once again: https://www.spectator.co.uk/2018/03/a-very-eu-coup-martin-selmayrs-astonishing-power-grab/
  23. Because I know that losing someone you are close to is very upsetting. I'm not personally affected by his death because I don't know anything about him but I'm sure there are people who were very close to him. He's just a face on a screen to me but to those who knew him personally he was obviously a lot more.
  24. Meh. I've had some cracking away games in the prem since we got prompted and I'll have some great away days if we go down so I don't think the game is dying. We've had a horrible couple of years but as long as I can have a few beers with my mates and enjoy some good performances in the next few years then we will be OK.
  25. Thanks soggy but we've been over this thousands of times. I admire the attempt to keep the thread alive by repeating old arguments ad nauseum but all the points you just made have been countered on more than one occasion and I'm not going to repeat it all again only to have you ignore the answers and bring the same points up again in a few months. My wife is absolutely fine thanks and is touched by your interest in her. I'm still thankful every day that her father was a relatively liberal iraqi man (by Arabic standards anyway) who allowed her the freedom to be herself and to marry who she chooses. She often says how lucky she is considering some of her relatives are in arranged marriages or old and alone because family members have forbidden that they get married. Many Arabs are in the same position. Have a super day. #stopthechristianrapegangs
