  1. They'll just say whatever their party tells them to say at the time and people wonder why no one trusts politicians. Politics of conviction doesn't exist anymore. I know a Labour politician who despised corbyn and then after his relatively good election result he couldn't get enough of him. Absolutely spineless.
  2. Let's see what the shadow trade secretary has to say:
  3. No I think they go on that we have a stronger squad than our position and performances suggest. In other words, our squad is capable of better than they have given us.
  4. If we are piggybacking on existing and future EU trade deals then how are they going to allow us to do that and not insist that we follow the same laws as well?
  5. Does the Barnes goal on Saturday count in that stat?
  6. It's a pretty accurate stat I would say. This season is frustrating partly because we don't look completely useless. If we were really poor quality like a Derby for example and were just getting laid siege to every game than you can resign yourself to it and just accept that you weren't good enough. It's worse with saints at the moment because we don't actually give away that many chances for a team virtually in the relegation zone, it's just that the few that we do give away usually results in a goal. There haven't been that many games this season where I think we have been really battered (Leicester at home springs to mind), it's really been a slow death where the opposition nicks a goal and we have subsequently played like we are in a training match without any sign of getting back into things. That's primarily why people have been calling for a change of manager because we do look vaguely competent which makes you believe that a manager setting us up differently would cause an upturn in results (watch us not get near Saturdays finishing team again now- Gabbi only got on the pitch because Long is injured!)
  7. They also mentioned during the game on Saturday that we gave the opposition a very high amount of meaningful chances (not sure what they count as meaningful.) I'm sure this would contrast strongly with our previous teams who I am sure would have been extremely miserly in terms or giving chances away- which is why Forster looks so good.
  8. It's probably the preferred option for the EU- essentially stay in the customs union where we have to follow EU laws but have no say in them. Probably have to pay a chunk of cash for the privilege too. Essentially if that's the Labour option then we are better off staying in.
  9. That could be scarily accurate...
  10. He's still a rubbish manager who deserves to be fired. We were dire for about 90% of the game today and if we manage to stay up it certainly won't be because of any accomplishment of the manager.
  11. This x 1000. Should absolutely be the starting team with jwp ready to come on for tadic in the second half
  12. I think 6 games is enough to make a preliminary judgement. He's crap.
  13. A very very fortunate draw there. Offered virtually nothing all game. Gabbi and sims should be playing all the time.
  14. Play gabbi and sims every week. This clueless manager is such a c*nt.
  15. We will play this exact way next week and the week after and the week after that. Its utterly soul destroying!
  16. Awful again. Should have sacked this manager months ago.
  17. And do you not think that after the mid term elections Congress will be blocking everything that trump proposes? The whole system is crazy.
  18. Can see us losing this 1-0. Really hope we can nick one but it's not looking very likely.
  19. I think they've been proposed haven't they? Did Obama not have the opportunity during his first two years in office then?
  20. I'd be interested to know what people on here think the solution to school shootings should be? Bearing in mind that Obama did precisely nothing and the fact that America won't be banning guns any time soon.
  21. It's a winter Olympic factoid with links to Southampton thread.
  22. Just seen the snowboarding bronze medalist is from Southampton.
  23. #FirstWorldProblems
  24. Oh absolutely. I don't really think there's much wrong in naming and shaming someone for what they put online though. I vehemently disagree though with Katie price trying to push some specific "trolling" law as that's frighteningly vague and will no doubt be roundly abused to try to silence people.
  25. Little bit harsher than jokes tbf with racist abuse.
