  1. Not if I thought that voting in a poll on a web forum made no actual difference. I realise we are now arguing over semantics, I'm happy to accept that your definition of desperate differs from mine, every fan I have spoken to and encountered in real life are absolutely amazed that he hasn't been sacked. As I said the other day, I can't think of a less successful manager in the premier league that has survived this long.
  2. Zero difference really.
  3. You already know I'm going to tell you that not bothering to vote in a meaningless poll gives zero insight into their feelings about the manager...
  4. I don't know what you could possibly mean
  5. If you knew for certain that a loss to West brom would get him sacked, would you be OK with us losing the game?
  6. Nah. Always going to be a tiny minority who like going against the grain, worry about any sort of change, are closet skates, just like being sad, old, supercilious and feeling superior (delete as appropriate.) The vast vast vast majority of fans are desperate for him to leave now which should tell you something.
  7. I expect they'll try to weed out mark from 'ampshire who wants to whinge about the meat content in the pasties.
  8. If nothing else, this outs to bed the lie that it was the fans who got puel the sack. The vast majority of fans have been screaming for pellegrino's head for weeks now and have been totally ignored.
  9. I'm not sure why Saturday would be the decisive game. He isn't going anywhere
  10. What's impractical about it? Squash courts are a big improvement even if their online booking system is terrible.
  11. Either the club's judgement is horrifically flawed or they are listening too much to the players. Probably both.
  12. Abd the gems keep coming. As a player "he has three things: incredible humility, complete professionalism and he never celebrated victory.” He's continued that as a manager!
  13. He's also happy to take a job if a tiny third division club came in for him. You can see how Southampton "small" FC were sold to him.
  14. Now I get it. We've been trying not to win so that the players stay hungry. Unfortunately it appears they are starving to death.
  15. Oh dear think we've found a club pr plant. Out of interest, is there any circumstance where you wouldn't back the club and the decisions they make?
  16. Does anyone know why he was there by the way? Nearly fell off my chair when I saw him.
  17. Good shout with Phil brown. Reading Wikipedia it looks like he was eventually sacked the season they got relegated - but not until March and after a run of 1 win in 15 (sound familiar?). Holloway doesn't appear to have had as bad a run as that and I think he at least managed to take Blackpool to the last day. They also played some good football from memory with what was a very limited squad. As you say, both managers had success before their poor runs so you could argue that they deserved longer in their jobs due to that. I certainly can't think of anyone else who has had such a poor run in the Premier league without the mitigating factor or previous success with that team to explain why they are being kept on.
  18. They are well dodgy.
  19. If we replaced him now, the worst that could happen is that we continue doing as badly as we have been doing and we will be relegated. Under this manager we will be relegated anyway so we won't have lost anything.
  20. What time? I expected much worse. Its going to be hell next week.
  21. I have a feeling he won't be sacked. Now we can lock the thread.
  22. Skates or WUMs
  23. Being serious has any manager had a worse record in the Premier league and not been sacked? Maybe Pardew?
  24. What are they supposed to say? They know they have messed up and we all know it too. Short of Ralph spouting his usual rubbish there really isn't a lot more they can say until they actually sack the manager - which they show no intention of doing currently.
  25. Would be nice if the squad who go down donated 20% of their wages. Would probably keep the majority of the staff. I know it doesn't work like that but still.
