  1. Ffs. Just because pellegrino is clearly rubbish doesn't mean that sacking puel was a bad idea. Clearly we should have recruited better post puel's sacking.
  2. We went down for some beers on 39 minutes and didn't return until 55. Genuinely had a more entertaining time doing that than watching the game. One chance of note with Yoshida but otherwise another abject and dispiriting display. We were very fortunate to win against West brom and wouldn't have if not for some individual brilliance. Surely the new owners won't find this acceptable? Kat has played a blinder and got out at exactly the right time.
  3. Absolute dross. We all stayed in the concourse for almost ten minutes at half time having a chat and finishing our pints which were much better than anything else that was on offer. Loads of people did the same. Probably the last game I go to for a while.
  4. "they are no worse than catholics, protestants or any other followers of religion" what did you mean by this? It's also really weird how fixated you are with what words I use to reply to you. Really odd.
  5. So what you are saying is that every ideology and religion is entirely identical and each have the exact same level of violence and threat attached to them and so they should be treated identically? Do you have the figures to back up that assertion?
  6. What do you think is the main reason the Islamic state hates the west so much?
  7. I think everyone else got the point pal. In other news, you'll be wetting your knickers at this latest piece of news: https://www.islam21c.com/news-views/jeremy-corbyn-launches-islamophobia-awareness-month-parliament-mend/ Labour launching islamaphobia month. Seeing as you see an "islamaphobe" everywhere, I assume you will be leading the charge for brave comrade corbyn.
  8. Precisely. Unbelievably I agree wholeheartedly with you shurlock. Well put.
  9. "Diversity (visa) is our strength"
  10. To be fair, it would be slightly less repetitive if the attacks didn't happen so frequently...
  11. I tell you one thing, I'd rather be in new York right now than Maidstone that's for sure.
  12. Ffs...
  13. Yes... Like then
  14. I get a notification on my phone when someone replies to me. I saw a lengthy post from soggy which I assume is another inane diatribe like most of his replies to me. I haven't read it though so could be wrong.
  15. Didn't read any of that. Bore off soggy, go and annoy someone else.
  16. Let's be fair, there are plenty of people from both sides condemning behaviour to a greater degree because it comes from their political opponents. Apologism for sexual assault and harassment is unacceptable regardless of the political affiliation of the accused.
  17. Little Owen Jones typifies the hypocrisy more than most. Actual sexual assault and harassment is a problem within most major political parties and they are all as bad as each other as far as I'm concerned. The fact that people use the opportunity to play politics rather than addressing the issues - rather like corbyn didnover grenfell- is incredibly revealing.
  18. It's a difficult one because suggesting that an initiative like Everyday Sexism is insane and counterproductive to combating actual sexism by trivialising a serious issue will sound to certain ears like you are dismissing legitimate complaints about sexual harassment and assault when this is not the case. Certainly there is an insidious offense taking culture in the west which is extraordinarily divisive but the flip side of that is that more people are coming forward to report actual horrific abuses. Surely there can be some sort of middle ground between labelling every glance or interaction as examples of sexism and the dismissal of legitimate complaints or concerns? I hope so anyway
  19. Personally I'd rather win a cup if that were the choice but each to their own.
  20. All the cliches are coming out again! No one wants us to play like Barcelona, they would like us to be a bit more attacking though and more prepared to take risks. Some may have questioned our formation also considering the players at our disposal. Where we were 7 years ago has no relevance to now, it's just something people say to make them feel better about a string of poor performances. Everyone has acknowledged how much of an achievement it was to get into the Prem and to stay there and it really doesn't need bringing up for the umpteenth time.
  21. No. "To be clear" I am suggesting that if those who were so worn down by our home games both this season and last season- a fair complaint given how much of a slog it has been for me either watching or going to games and I'm not at every home game- decide to go less and are subsequently replaced by fans who are largely there for the occasion or to watch the opposition then it cannot be a good thing. It's a question of priorities and if someone balances the cost of a season ticket and realises that they can no longer justify it given the lack of entertainment and dire football on offer then I would find it hard to criticise them.
  22. That's the attraction of the Premier League but it's still a shame if long term fans and season ticket holders are being put off even if they are currently being replaced by fairweather fans. If we start doing badly again it's the proper fans you want to keep hold of.
  23. It's genuinely a sad state of affairs that you feel this way but I think more are joining you. We have been spoilt over the last few years but the pendulum has swung rather far in the other direction in terms of interest and excitement. Surely the club hierarchy understand how many fans are feeling.
  24. I agree but I doubt that other teams have had the same level of dullness across every game like we have in the league since pretty much January. Sunderland have a good case too mind you.
  25. Sums it up. I've seen almost every game so far, either on tv or live and it's been a real slog at times. I often find my mind wondering to other things and frankly thinking I have better things to do with my time. Haven't felt that way for a number of years, even when we were failing in the championship we had a fair share of excitement. Mind numbing dullness and lack of excitement is for me worse than an exciting failure.
