The seasons he played for us were probably the best seasons of my saints supporting life. Not sure I've ever celebrated a goal more than that one against Scotland other than maybe the semi final goal last year and Derby in the playoff semi.

We always get these types of threads after a slump. Only a fool would fail to heed the warning signs. We've looked uninspired and lethargic all year, we have a dire lack of goals and a keeper in poor form with a very average midfield. It's asking for trouble and at the moment it's only put decent defence that will get us points.

Well another DM is certainly not the answer. I don't think controlling the middle has been a glaring weakness in our game over the last year but goals certainly have been. Lemina and romeu only in the centre please, sack off Tadic and boufal if we have any other player that fancies their hand in that role and pray we are OK until January.

I have to be honest it's really hard not to feel a similar way. Harder than ever at the moment to be that engaged with what's going on. I expected a Watford goal today with the way we were playing and the second one was met with a shrug which is a really sad indictment when you consider how engaging and entertaining the football was just a few seasons ago.

Given that we no longer have the option to bring anyone else in to improve us, I would genuinely rather try out some new formations and some new player combinations to see if it would be better- we can't be doing much worse than the current setup! Two up front would be a must for me, as would playing lemina further forward. Not sure what to do with boufal but he's been a massive disappointment for us so far and Tadic has been extremely poor this year. Other than that not sure what else we can do as our players just don't score.
