Nah. The club marketing machine will have told him what to say. The players know exactly where we are I am sure.
-
Who knows but we can definitely attract someone who would give us a better chance of getting out of this mess than the current incumbent.
-
Here we have soggy doing what he loves to do best- being cringe inducingly pompous, getting on his high horse and looking down his nose at fellow fans whilst feeling ever so superior. I wonder how many more games without a league win it would take for you to stop criticising fellow saints fans and actually aim a bit of criticism at the management? Probably never because you get more fulfillment out of acting supercilious and pretending you're a better class of person than others. I'd genuinely rather spend a lifetime watching a looped compilation video of Alpine's most negative forum comments than have to spend a single second in your company if you're even vaguely like the type of character you portray on here. I hope for your sake you're not because otherwise I can see why you saw so much hostility in Maidstone. Discerning bunch those Maidstonians.
-
I don't disbelieve it! Popularity with staff and players on its own should not be a reason to keep the manager though and once again it's a failure to realise what's most important- results and performances.
-
Utterly barmy. How could anyone not want to get rid of him at this point? He's our least successful manager of all time...
-
Yawn. You knew exactly what I meant.
-
OK but effectively he will have been sacked after tomorrow if that were the case it just wouldn't have been announced until we can get someone else in. I'd like to think we coukd be a bit quicker than that and I wouldn't want to keep him longer than is absolutely necessary but who knows what the club will end up doing, it's hard to predict nowadays.
-
Ideal scenario now is a draw tomorrow- because they won't sack him otherwise- followed by an immediate sacking and replacement with any of the names banded about. Put a little run together and survive and then sack the lot of them in the summer.
-
Yeah same with me. I'm happy to accept he has a difference of opinion even if I vehemently disagree. I doubt he's seen as many games as I have this year and thus probably hasn't seen how bad it's been.
-
It will happen there just needs to be a point where we have no hope of recovery in a game. If the spurs away or Leicester home results had happened in the past two weeks for example then we would have seen it. Unfortunately during our latest run results haven't been quite terrible enough to prompt more decisive action.
-
I do wonder why a win would signal any sort of tactical shift in the boardroom either way. If they've got to the stage where they say win the next game or you're sacked then really they just have to bite the bullet and go for it. What if we beat West brom but then lost the next three? Either it's massive indecision and lack of leadership at the top or it's a dogged determination not to look like all those inferior clubs that go around sacking managers in the middle of the season. Probably a bit from both columns.
-
He should be sacked even with a win. Depressing stuff.

Ross Wilson appointed as Director of Scouting & Recruitment

Can't say I've noticed much of a difference. The problems we have had all season remain. -

I don't think the fans are going to find out who or what the root cause of this malaise is. Most were convinced it had something to do with black but our continued decline shows that's clearly not the case. I reckon its not just one person but a series of poor mistakes and hiring decisions that have made the club take a step backwards in a variety of areas go leave us where we are. I mean look at the academy and their poor performance to see that, someone like Martin hunter can be to blame just as much. -
I agree except for that Jack schitt bloke and all his alter egos. Screw that guy.
-
It's probably just to consider the strategy post transfer window where we got no one in.
-
I know who Tom28 is unlike other supposed itks on here. I reckon he's legit.
-
Not really. We didn't sign any of them so even if they are true, him knowing makes no difference other than highlighting how poor we are at getting transfers over the line.
-
Abd as this increasingly seems to be the case, I will have no choice but to do the only thing we can really do to make a difference which will be not to turn up until such time as we appear to see the supporters as more than just a number in a balance sheet. Disgusting how much we have been mugged off and patronised.
-
Oh it's almost certainly too late now but teams have been in worse positions than us abd survived. We could get a draw this weekend and would be out of the relegation zone.
-
I don't mean a final chance for the manager- he should leave regardless of any result- I mean the final chance for the club to show me why I should show any continued interest for the rest of the season. If they sack him and bring someone in to give us a bit of a fight then I'll assume its worth my while.
-
West brom is the absolute final chance for me. Fail to win that and we don't sack him then I'll assume they want us to go down and I'll stop watching and attending the matches.
-
Who is then? Because at this point he's much more of an answer than the current incumbent
-
Lol! I think whoosh is the appropriate word here...
-
When would you have pulled the trigger on Pellegrino?

Leicester was the first game where I said without a doubt he should go. Subsequent games have just confirmed what we already knew.
