  1. The other tweet I saw said he would be loaned out to Goztepe. If it is the case that we are buying him first then it's possible that he wouldn't he t a work permit without going to Turkey first. Either way the multi club model is doing its job.
  2. And it lessens our exposure whe and you get a carillo type player and we end up paying him in wages and can't get rid of him. Too many of them and it drags the entire club down.
  3. No. This is literally the point of a multi club model. We are trialling the player for a year, seeing if he is suitable for our setup and then if he is we will buy him and if he isn't we will send him back with very little risk to us.
  4. Not sure why some are finding it difficult to understand. Absolutely nobody is giving us 40 million for Alcaraz and we can't afford to have an asset like him largely sat on the bench most weeks.
  5. Because presumably we would buy Victor Hugo if he proves himself in Turkey and we get a profit which helps with FFP.
  6. Meslier 23rd???
  7. Even more convinced we will be unchanged after the press conference.
  8. Fair enough.
  9. He may not come back but he doesn't play in the same position as Fraser so I don't see how.
  10. He could be the Lesley replacement next season if he has a breakout year.
  11. I thought you were an oxford fan who came with aggression but your username put me at ease... Charles is a pretty decent player I reckon. Was not worth anything like the money we paid for him last year and is still very young but has another year of experience. He was never going to displace Downes in our team who was probably the best in the championship in that position but I thought he held his own and was a reasonable alternative when required. Good passer of the ball, composed and can carry the ball, can tackle and will be a really decent signing for a newly promoted team. Quite a classy loan signing for a newly promoted club I would have thought.
  12. Sekou Mara is never getting into a France squad unless the current French squad, the French B team and the under 21s drive off a cliff simultaneously. Even then it will be close.
  13. Not sure where to put this but found it in a box this evening. How do you think this team compares to today's one? We had a fair bit of shite back then!
  14. Is this player really that bad? I'll be honest I really don't know much about him but it's not like if Alcaraz stays he will be playing much anyway.
  15. Maybe he is a better player in Martin's system? And the money in this year will allow us to strengthen in other areas so that overall the team is better?
  16. Doubt it. Looks like he's a highly rated attacking midfielder who wolves were interested in earlier I bthe window valued at 16-18 million euros.
  17. Isn't that more to do with his injuries though rather than his form? That's what other people seemed to be saying. At any rate he seems like an upgrade on McCarthy even if he has some faults.
  18. Good luck to the club with this venture but I can't see it being overly popular unless they discount the cost of food and drink to below local prices. Why would you want to walk miles to hang out by the stadium when you could just have a few drinks at the pub?
  19. You've obviously watched him so it's not that I disbelieve you, but saying "he's not that good with the ball at his feet" is contradicted by all the posts from fans, news articles about him and all the stats that I've seen.
  20. It was touch and go for a while there.
  21. I think they need a few at a 100k level to oversee the job of the 77k one to ensure that it's working correctly.
  22. Phew. I was waiting for that endorsement before getting excited. If he'd dismissed him then I'd know to stary being angry at the club.
  23. I don't disagree but if this rumour is true then I'm just heartened that they still recognise a weakness in our attack. Agree though id like someone tall and mobile if possible.
  24. So you could temporarily control some of the flow but not end it indefinitely? What we have now is a choice and governments who do nothing will be held accountable like the tories were and like Labour will be if they don't deal with it in some fashion.
  25. Was that ever a remotely realistic possibility?
