  1. Thought we were second best for most of that half and Ipswich could have had a few but I'll take it. So important to go in at half time one ahead.
  2. Lallana starting then.
  3. Gloucester saint is just trying to be all things to all people. He's the centrist candidate of saintsweb.
  4. Good. Let's hope others on here can similarly judge labour on their own terms without referring to a different political party.
  5. Why are you drawing an equivalence? The people on here constantly bringing up the Tories since the moment Labour got elected are the big Labour supporters. Surely the aim should be for them not to have even a whiff of corruption in their own right?
  6. I agree with that. In a few years this won't be remembered unless the abd news keeps on coming and then it could be one of many things piled on top of each other. I expect Starmer believes that if he can improve the economy that most other things will be forgiven which is probably true.
  7. I heard a never ending amount about tory sleaze whilst they were in power. It's one big reason why they lost spectacularly a couple of months ago. What's your point?
  8. I doubt a potential candidate of the opposition is anywhere near as newsworthy as the actual prime minister.
  9. I posted some nice words about Gloucester Saint yesterday but it appears I was wrong. I hadn't realised but he's apparently a gutless prick and a fucking pussy. My mistake clearly.
  10. You're acting as if labour hadn't used the press at every opportunity during opposition to drone on about tory corruption, cronyism and lack on integrity - which is fair comment - and now people can point to examples of the same from labour so of course it's going to be highlighted. They were quite happy to moralise when the shoe was on the other foot and now you have the frankly laughable sight of someone like Jess Phillips who hasn't stopped going on about the tories going on telly to try to defend Starmer for exactly the type of thing she has been up in arms about. Like I said, Starmer is an intelligent chap and should have predicted how things like this would be received. The fact he didn't is the most baffling part of the whole thing. Even if you think it doesn't matter, it was really politically stupid.
  11. I don't actually care about it but I do find it quite amusing given how much they banged on about the dodgy tories accepting similar types of gifts. No one gives someone 70k for clothes just because and doesn't expect anything from that person down the line. The defence from some seems to be "well it is t as bad or as shameless as the tories" which isn't really any sort of defence at all.
  12. Yes I assume so.
  13. Yes that was my point. Likely in my view that lesley and Fernandes will be deemed premier league quality but certainly not yet.
  14. Good post Gloucester Saint. I disagree with you a lot but of late I've found your responses to be respectful and reasonable. Much better to have a discussion that doesn't get personal.
  15. No I don't think I have given your posting style towards other posters as well. They have had some impact but I didn't deny they did. They aren't the cause of our overall uncompetitiveness or the reason we've shipped so many goals.
  16. Fraser has a proven history of performing to a good standard in this league.
  17. I fail to see how we have a lack of PL quality players. Ramsdale Sugawara Bednarek Stephens Kwp Taylor Downes Lallana Dibling Cornet Fraser Are all example of players who have either performed adequately or better in this league before or who I believe appear to have the necessary talent to be described as Premier league quality.
  18. We may see what his expectation is if we are without any points from the next three or four games. If his attitude is that relegation is the expectation then we will just carry on.
  19. I'm not getting excited at all and I'd appreciate Less of the patronising tone or we can just end the conversation here. I simply don't agree with you that those three things have been the cause of our poor start. We haven't been competitive for large parts of these early games and I don't want that trend to continue. Certainly against forest and Brentford and a large part of the United game.
  20. Again it's the manner of relegation though isn't it. I don't see how Martin can retain any credibility if he continues to get smashed every week and remaining uncompetitive.
  21. The potential for two relegations in three years probably doesn't make him thrilled.
  22. Will be very interesting to see where we're at in another 7 or 8 games.
  23. Whatabout, Whatabout, whatabout
  24. Martin bigging up the performance and how brilliant it was against Everton. It was very average for me but maybe he's trying to use it to inspire a performance against Ipswich.
