The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

If you invest money sure. I was talking more about a young person sticking money in a pension scheme. At that point the retirement age will be nearer 80. -

TBF though when young people now get old their pensions will essentially be worthless no matter what they save. -

Surely the answer would be to negotiate some sort of reasonable renumeration for the original owners of the land. Why are Mauritius involved at just because they happen to live nearby? My guess is there's some sort of spy shit we are doing on there which they don't want to admit to publicly so this is an easier way to do it without scrutiny. -

I'm not trying to be funny but can someone explain this situation to me? I think I read that Mauritius have never had a claim to the land. We kicked out the people who do and now we are not giving the land back to the people who always lived there but someone else instead and we are paying to rent the land off then when they've never owned it before? Is that right? -
All about making the playoffs this year and then if we fail going balls out next season. I'm not sure Tonda has the experience if I'm honest and we don't know if he has a plan B for situations where teams work us out.
-
He used to sit in Pitcher and Piano in a roped off area and then venture out of there every so often to chat up multiple women and bring them home every other week. He was on something like 15K a week for years. He knew what side his bread was buttered.

Disciples of Candace Owens no doubt. Probably a Jewish psyop. -

Those who work in the profession say that the backlog is not caused by juries and that it will make no difference. Some are talking about strikes which would make the situation much worse rather than fixing it. -

Didn't we have this discussion a few months ago and the response from the other side was that whilst some of it was unworkable, some of it wasn't but it would cost money? -
Even more reason we won't be getting three keepers in six months.
-
Whatever the answer is, I really thought we'd seen the end of endless discussion about what level of shit Bazunu is after the promotion season. The fact that not only did we not get rid but he became first choice again is another bad mark against Sports Republic.
-
Yes so assuming he's off, given we will likely still be a championship club I can't really see us shelling out on a new first choice keeper, letting Bazunu go on loan with no return on our investment and then spending even more on a backup keeper. With funds tight that doesn't make an awful lot of sense.

What we can do is prevent the next wave of child rapists from third world nations from arriving here. -

I love how these now become a taxpayer burden and we have to support these twats for years. -
Yes but the reason McCarthy isn't getting in our team now is because he's less suited to the way we play. Also worth remembering we are a championship team now and less likely to attract certain keepers to sit on our bench all season. Not sure how I've got in the position of defending Bazunu I think he's crap!
-
Trying to think of a number two I was fine with playing for an extended period. Very few examples. Bart was crap, gazzaniga very poor for us, Paul Jones was decent backup tbf, Paul Smith? Angus gunn ? Truth is a club of our size will find it difficult to have two keepers on their books who are both very strong. I don't necessarily want Bazunu but given we've spent money on him and his attributes of being able to play out from the back I can see why the club may want him as backup.
-
Agree with that. I think he was rather damaged by whatever drugs he was on. Undeniably has said some great stuff worth listening to but also some absolute crap that makes him sound mentally ill
-
Yeah that's just a cuntish thing to say really isn't it.

I don't disagree other than we can exert some external pressure along with allies which will make a bit of difference but I accept those changes won't be wholesale. -

Agreed and a good post from yourself. Major strategic error to agree a deal without any idea that they wouldn't then be back cap in hand the following year. Just pointing out that this was highlighted by some on here at the time and was dismissed. -

There's obviously things we can do to improve the situation. You're right we don't have control over regimes in other countries but we absolutely could bring in policies that would reduce the risks.
