Has been a great signing for all involved and obviously benefitted from our team behind the scenes. What's more he looks totally at home, enjoying football and life at Southampton and seems like a thoroughly decent down to earth guy which endears him to the fans as well. Well done Rickie and Saints and long may it continue.

Exactly what's needed but can't see it happening. I love Cortese, but how he can allow this situation to people who have done so much for this club to carry on is ridiculous. We all want the same, don't we?.

We are lucky to have him. What an article, for him to come out with this stuff means he actually believes in the long term vision and that we will get there. All those whining about petty issues like ticket taxes, parking and so on, get real this club is being dragged in the right way. Enjoy the ride.

Agreed. Worry about if and when it happens, let's all enjoy the ride we are currently having. I'm sure if that time came that they would ensure we were sold to good owners. There is far too much paranoia on this site and there have been no indications that the plan will not be followed through.

I used to love the Dell, but hated when the away fans would sing " **** ground no fans" all the time. For years I craved seeing us play in a nice new large ground. SMS is great and looks fantastic, just wish it was a bit bigger and had more facilities around it.
