Don't know why but one game that i always think of was the 0 0 littlewoods cup semi final against Liverpool. Some guy ran on the pitch and gave mark wright a jacket and he threw it back at him. Was funny at the time. Barry hornes screamer , doing united 6 3, Liverpool 4 1, constantly getting done by Leeds, le tiss debut. Was a magical place but was overdue to move.

Well done to everyone who has posted or donated. Grew up watching this guy give his all for Saints every game, he left nothing out on the pitch. A true Saint and legend. Didn't want him to go, we were without doubt heading in the right direction. Although I really didn't like the negative things with MLT and Benali etc and some,of the petty things but who's perfect and perhaps the quirky is what makes some a success. The club does seem rudderless and have handled this window appallingly so far, they have allowed players and clubs to dictate albeit getting good prices. We need some action fast to show we are not falling apart and attract some talent.

This again, it's now time for all the bedwetters and conspiracy theorists to stop moaning and whinging and all pull together to support the club. The club has shown the plans are fully alive with this appointment and I hope that we will see St Mary's full to the brim with strong season ticket sales. Well done to the board on what I believe to be an excellent appointment and indeed an upgrade on before. From watching the Koeman interview he looked genuinely excited, over the moon and spoke glowingly about the club in ENGLISH and talked about liking the family atmosphere, I can't see him jumping ship like the other should we have success. We have a real chance now to kick on and continue the progress, I'm excited.

Saw him play many times, as said above he was quick and a little tricky, although never quite made it at the top level after showing promise. Remember him being quite popular as I think he is a local lad. Good to see him involved with football still and good luck to him in his new role.

The club has moved quickly after finishing the season with the manager, so I hope that translates as a message to the players and us that we are not going to just sit back. In my opinion the own brands shirts were rubbish, quality was crap, they looked tacky and the sizing was all over the show. There would be no marketing support, no brand connection and would be a huge fail, I for one will be disappointed if our club goes back to that after coming so far with everything. After not liking the new strip, I received one for Xmas and now like it a lot after wearing it. I live in hope of one day walking into adidas shops or the like and being able to buy and see our tops alongside the like of arsenal etc. COYS.

This, it was a special place and for such an old ground it was well looked after. We had to move though, we had wanted and waited for a new ground for years and was so exciting to see St Mary's go up and so sad to see the Dell demolished. Managed to get in to the Dell one night before it was torn down with mates and we we went everywhere, I still have my seat. only hope that we soon see st. Mary's become more like the images we have seen coming from the club. I would love us to have a stadium up there with the best

I agree totally with this post. I love Adam he is Saints thru and thru none more passionate. I'm sure he will show us all what he can do this season. He stuck with us thru it all when there probably opportunities to go elsewhere and remember the stick he got with all that on here as well. Lets get behind him and all the team.

I used to love the end of season invasion at the dell was always fun and good natured until some idiots thought it was a good idea to kick all the turf up and start throwing it a the players and all over the west stand. I was a lot younger then though and don't think it's needed nowadays a lap of honour to say thanks for the support is better in my opinion.

Of course he is good enough anyone who thinks he is not has rocks in their head. The lad has bags of talent. He has clearly struggled to adjust in his first season, showing a lack of stamina, a bit lightweight and now maybe a drop In confidence. But after a Complete pre season and fitness program he will be one of our best. He has skill and vision ahead of the others but needs to get a grip of the speed and physical aspects of the EPL. I really want this lad to prove why we paid a lot of money and believe he will. I know he has taken longer than many would have wished but give him a break and let's back him. COYR

And some common sense here. Do people really think we'd be sending out teasers of stadium expansions, training ground expansions etc etc, if they were looking to sell. It's about time people just started to enjoy where we are going and appreciate it after the last 7 years.
