Forgive me if I am wrong, but wasn't it supposed to be a five year plan to get back to the Premier league. If all the rumours are true about AP's imminent dismissal are true, has NC and ML suddenly reduced that to a two year plan because they are a bit miffed about our non-promotion this year. I'm all for ambition from these guys, but a touch of common sense wouldn't go amiss here. I am, for the first time, starting to worry about our new owner's judgement.

I thought the dark cloud of 'a chairman interfering in football matters' had gone when that idiot Rupert Lowe left, but it seems one fool has replaced another if the rumours are to be believed.

I think the 'nothing to lose' factor comes into this game. Southampton are on a high at the moment, having just reached one cup final, which means they can play more freely. Although Pompey will be up for it, they have just about everything to lose. They are expected to win, and even if there is 'unity' amongst their players, they will also be tight and tense. My heart says 2-1 Saints, but my head says 1-2, but we may squeek a draw.

A guy I know was coming to pick his girlfriend up from my workplace, which is near the ground. I was looking out the window and saw him parked up the road a bit shouting at a group of guys, who were stood just laughing at him and throwing bits of food at him. It turned out that as he turned into the industrial estate I work on, someone had thrown something at his car and shattered his back window, which got him wound up, obviously. I'm not sure, but they may have been Luton fans, on there way to the ground.

I would be very surprised if we were allowed to put a bid in at this very late stage in the process, regardless of facilities, location etc etc. Firstly the F.A. are sticklers for rules, and officialdom, and secondly the other 15 bidding cities would probably kick up a fuss about us being let in at the last minute. Shame, but it's not going to happen folks.
