this does not help the club -at all. He is a fan, we all accept that. As a fan can he not see that these continual squabbles are harming the club. I am not saying he could not do a good job or whether what he had said is true. But as a fan and shareholder -does this do any good for Saints or could it harm us? As an individual does this do any good for his ego? Any comparisons with the numerous bad things the others have done are not relevant to this. Two wrongs etc. Actions may help, continual rants without action only harm.

I didn't make it up! It was solent sports news, think the 7.20 one this morning, maybe 8.20
-
that because I don't think anyone on here thinks he is close to ideal and most want them all gone, but if you question Crouch or don't slag off everything lowe does constantly you are a lowe luvvie -strange

it would be a start if they all just grew up and shut up

The one up front formation has been working away from home. Wotte tried it last night. He had a plan B he had already gone over with the team if it didn't work out. We went two down. He brought on two subs, who both scored and we drew. The other sub cleared off the goal line. Even Dave Merrington who very negative about this set up complimented his tactics, half time changes and the balance on the bench. He clearly explained his decisions in post match interview, saying DMG was opted for as in that formation he has better physical attributes but it was a tough decision. He accepted it was wrong and will play both on Saturday. All fairly reasonable! Sure if he was some English manager we would be saying so far so good! Saturday is the test tho

whoever is right or wrong.... what possible benefit to SFC is there of him going on radio solent to say this? I can't think of any. Just more unnecessary negativity and infighting. actions please not words -from both sides
-
saying if he was chairman we would be other end of table, bigger crowds and no financial problems - solent interview
-
sorry, my fault didnt make it clear but that exactly my point -its been working away not home!
-
away draw is fine, but away hasn't been our problem -agree he must get home wins
-
its the formation that has got a poor team with a poor manager the most away wins in bottom half
-
fair points, Wotte clearly explained DMG selection on the radio, hard choice etc, formation tight away wanted pace for the break hence DMG but Saga will start next game

When can Ruperts Dutch experiment be considered a failure?
NickG replied to Mole's topic in The Saints
read the f ing post -said management appointment is a failure??!! -
all seem reasonable comments, even negative Merrington was impressed with tactics, proof will be how many wins he can get rather than how he sounds but ok start

a load to where?

When can Ruperts Dutch experiment be considered a failure?

what was the experiment? cutting costs? -apparently needed appointing Jan - fact he has departed in current situation -failed closer links between youth/senior players - will only be able to judge when we see how the young players do over coming seasons and whether likes of the next Blackstocks, Bests, Cranie etc stay with us. -
Wotte specifically mentioned having meeting with Euell in Mondays echo interview.
-
or maybe that we need to try and support the team?

article says walk away from boardroom for money to the club -not them
-
the article says they said if he gave £6m to the club -not them -to wipe out debts -then they would walk away. He hasn't got enough money. Do you really think that getting rid of them by boycotts etc with all that negativity but still with a debt is better than them walking away quietly and the club having no debts?? Very strange!

wouldn't have thought Skacal would be slow at voicing an opinion
-
had forgotten about Saga! Some experience there -wonder what was said?

THE role of Kim van der Waals at Saints has been described by the club as an independent advisor. Speculation has been growing among fans about who the Dutchman is. Van der Waals has been seen on a regular basis in the directors’ box on matchdays at St Mary’s. He has also been visible at the club’s Staplewood training ground on occasions. Supporters have been intrigued as to what van der Waals’ role is, with some suggesting he could even be working as a director of football at Saints. But the club have stressed he is acting as an advisor and is not employed by them. He has helped broker the deals that have brought a number of players to the club this season, thought to include Lee Holmes, Ryan Smith, Jan-Paul Saeijs and Lee Molyneux, who all arrived on free transfers. Head coach Mark Wotte said: “Kim has been very helpful this season with his contacts in England to bring in players like Lee Holmes and Ryan Smith. “He is one of those contacts that we have in Southampton if we want to bring in good players. “He is well respected within the club, he is not employed by the club. “He is an independent contact for us and we are very happy with him
