  1. rubbish
  2. think you are wrong, no way they will struggle.
  3. I know its sounds simplistic but player is worth a figure that someone wants to spend, and makes a club want to sell. His price is high and we don't really want to sell, and are unlikely to be able to buy a player as good, however much we get, due to where we are. So its no good saying get £10m and buy a £8m replacement and there won't be much difference as we will be replacing him with a championship level winger and notice a big difference.
  4. better than Lallana and Ox-C and achievable? Not sure I agree.
  5. what was wrong with it?
  6. and ideally all our best player stay not unsettled at the last minute, ideally we don't have injuries and win games. sure every club and every manager wants players in early, strange that most don't do it
  7. ok, who is better that we could recruit to championship compared to those I named. btw numerous other factors but a team fresh out of premiership may have more draw than one fresh out of league 1 if other factors balance out
  8. who are the realistic targets to come to a newly promoted side who are better than ; Lallana LM Ox-C RM Morgan CM Fonte CB
  9. two of those to Brighton to replace better players leaving
  10. seller sets price
  11. 10 aug signed lambert - he did ok'ish that season
  12. as we haven't signed a player in the first week that we can (when few signings are done) it shows we won't for the next 6 odd weeks until season starts.

  14. In the long run the pessimist may be proved right, but the optimist has a better time on the trip.
  15. looks like voting is 1 Golac 2 Pahars

  18. is it May 2012?
  19. skates are up to 9 players, good signings for WHU but remember how many they will be losing, Brighton have lost 2 key players. early days still, particularly if only after a few as i suspect
  20. Ispwich views on their signing: £2m midfielder, 10 goals from midfield, Captain.... and presume theyve got a real coup. Yet, the reality is that no Ipswich fan would say hes shown to be worth anything near £2m, the 10 goals he got last year were a career high that he probably wont ever repeat (he hasnt even got half that amount in his other seasons at itfc) and he was about 3rd choice for captain, after McAuley and Walters! And frankly his best years are going to be behind him, especially as the type of player he is. Apart from getting a fee for him we've done pretty well there. Soon his legs will go and he will be useless 3 years is madness for a player with limited footballing ability...who's game is built around fitness and work rate. That's a relief. Was getting worried he would try to find away back here. Our worst value for money signing for years. agreed, he made a 5 yard pass look difficult Does he mean captain of the Ipswich side that had it's joint worst season for 40 years despite multi-million pound investment. I'd say he lacked leadership qualities.
