Thanks for the support. Reading this thread and some of the over excited comments i think illustrates my point that this forum is hijacked by around 6 posters, maybe even less. It also confirms that some of these people are insanely blind to there own total idiocy, but there you go.

Good post. I have come to learn on this forum that it is hijacked or spoilt by in reality maybe 6 posters No names as i have also realised that these people only want a reaction. I have pretty much stopped posting, pretty much because of the pointlessness of these few moronic posters. They seem to be totally unable to comprehend their idiocy, but perhaps they will grow up or even be cured at some point in the future. In the mean time i look on the forum daily incase there is any breaking news or any interesting insights etc. I also cant remember a match ive been to where there hasnt been some moron swearing and screaming their abuse at the team if things arent going to their liking. In a way it is selfish of these morons as it spoils the match for the bulk of supporters who have to hear their crap. Wouldnt it be great if we could read the forum with out these pointless individuals but dont hold your breath.

working it out on past form etc i predict we will not get more than 73 points by the end of the season.
-
The only way we will reach the play offs is a total change of form by us, Huddersfield or Swindon. Last 12 games, surely a safe barometre of the next 12 games forms shows one point behind Huddersfield and 4 behind Swindon. Assuming we win our 2 games in hand and beat Huddersfield on tuesday we still have to improve by 8 points against Huddersfield. Or another way, if we win all our remaining games we will be on 86 points. If Huddersfield maintain the same form as last 12 games they will be on 81 points. I dont think we even need to trouble ourselves thinking of the pooasbility of winning promotion this year, sadly

In the end the 3 year or 5 year plan is odds on likely to fail.Every other club will also have 3 or 5 year plans and i suspect none of them will be to be in a lower league in 5 years. The trouble with football [but also the thing that keeps us hooked] and supporting a team is all about hope and expectations. Look at the prediction leagues or the pre match "what will the score be". i think even if we were playing man u there would be more guesses in our favour. It is hard to be objective and although i think i am positive, a part of me thinks we could have done better this season with the resources. Then i think we were at ground zero not many months ago, and to see where we are now we should certainly be feeling happy. What could be better next season? Well for a start the team would hopefully be more practiced in the managers tactics. Hopefully we may have rid ourselves of the good players we have who cant play because they are allways injured. Perhaps we would have introduced a couple more top quality players, maybe even have unearthed a gem from some where. The one thing that is certain next year is that it wont be quite as straightforward as we may think. The trouble is all the other bloody teams. The pride of beating a "big club" [in terms of division 1]. The dodgy pitches, the teams fighting for their lives in the lower end of the league and even the teams on the day that were better than us. We are very lucky in the person who has bought us, things really could have been so different. I still maintain that the key person for us next season will be the manager. If i have one question in my mind which will be answered by the end of next season, it is, is Pardew good enough. My heart wants to say yes and may he still be here in ten years. I have this niggling voice in my head though that keeps doubting him.

i have not found the press to be iether intelligent or particularly inciteful in respect of match reports, so dont think i will go back and read any of the reports thanks.
-
No we should not rest him, but if we are winning comfortably in any games take him off then.
-
Barnard needs to be kept in. Hes fit, he scores goals. Putting him in and out of the team will do no good to him or the team.

Great article about a great man. i can still remember seeing the press conference on tv, when Keegan was unveiled. You couldnt have written the script and still one of the best moments in my life. He brought some great players to the club and could certainly pick a player. Do you remember Peter Rodrigues, an unlikely hero. Unfortunate that he was stained by the disgusting shenanigans of the previous regime, [i think through no fault of his own]. I hope he gets a great reception, he along with Ted Bates [and many others] played a massive, positive part in the history of our great club.

Reading this post, i am wondering what set of circumstances would lead to no criticism or soul searching for potential problems. I suppose it is the nature of a forum i guess, but some peoples comments are so based on their own limitations in terms of how they judge/view the world, rather than fact. I am talking generaly and not specifically this post. Ive read threads where people are commenting on the amount of money we are spending, so if we had chosen the most expensive options, i could see a thread, like "why are we chosing the most expensive players in these depressed times". I think for now at the very least i would put my faith in M.L. on the basis that im sure along away hes had some luck, but there is no way he has achieved such financial and private success with out some very sound judgement. Lets just count ourselves lucky we have gone so far in such a short time, lets be realistic, and patient and why not just enjoy the ride because i reckon we will be back in the premiership within 5 years...

Jason Puncheon to Saints according to SSN
croydonsaint replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Do not agree at all. Our best players will be being looked after financially. I think they will believe we would be promoted next season. Im sure they would have bought in to "the project," and if they really are ambitious and not simply mercenary, they will stay. Also next season, even if we have not been promoted this season, we will be even higher profile, with more peopler understanding our financial strength, we will only find it easier to attract the best players. -
I must admit, i did think the same when i read the article. Maybe he has had too much success and believes himself to be invincible? I hope he genuinely does believe that being a head of a company really isnt only about him. That said we cant be any thing but pleased that he, and more importantly M. L. are involved with our club. Certainly all the signs seem more than positive regarding the way the club is now being run, compared to the previous disgusting regime. To answer your question, should we be worried by his apparent self-aggrandising comments? I think i am just noting it mentally and hoping it just came out that way incorrectly in the article. Do i worry about people that quote comments from their own "speeches"? Yes, i certainly do. I did ask earlier in the thread if any saints employees could comment on morale internally since the new regime, because those replies would give us a better insight as to whether we should worry or not about his style or not. My gut feeling would be that morale must be much better, but will be very interested in any employees comments.
-
I would be interested if any saints employees could comment as to the change of morale for those working at the club?
-
Why would i want to be annoyed if we lose? Assuming we have given our all [which the team will] i will blank it out and think it no shame to be beaten by a premier league team. I will blank out that the premier league club was portsmouth. I will focus on the coming games. If i really have to i will take hypnotherapy............... But if we win [and i think we will] No lose situation....... coyr.
-
I dont think it will happen, but if it does i think they will have bigger things [like if they still have a club to support] to worry about.
-
We are in a no lose situation. If we go out next round to a premier league club, we have still done well above par. If we win................well imagine how there fans will feel. If they win, big deal they should be beating league 1 teams. Perfect draw. Perfect time.

I think you will find that NickG is a very committed fan. Also a positive poster on this forum, and why wouldnt he or someone start a thread with an entry from the OS. [Not another agenda Alpine]? I for one would read his comments with some interest. I must admit i only read your comments if i want a laugh. [normally ignore as have not yet read anything you have written that was worth you wasting your time writing]. -
I think this is a great move for Matt and Southend. Will watch with interest, but think he will do well. Come on Matt 2 years to prove you are a top striker and then hopefully a move up the leagues. Good luck Matt and Southend!
-
Normal negative nonsense. God if you were a football chairman you would have more managers than qpr, seriously though Alpine, are you ever allowed out?
-
I know you will villify me for this but c'est la vie. I have it on reasonable authority that your sources are 100% suspect. Enough that we can all ignore the possability of Pardew being sacked at the end of the season. It looks to me that we have a proffessional management team, from Pardew and above. I think they are perfectly aware that we may very well not get promoted this season. From where we are now team wise from the start of the season, only a fool would consider that we are not doing as well as could be reasonably expected. Luckily, the fools who think otherwise are not running the club. [Their only "supporting it"]
