  1. I always thought he was Arsenal fan.
  2. Couldn't agree more.
  3. Typical garbage from a wannabe footy journo.
  4. FFS some of you morons (thanks VFTT) will believe any old sheeite is fact if it's posted on any form of social media. No-one apart from the club and Fonte really knows what has happened and what will result. Wait and see! Sorry it's only football, some people need to get a sense of perspective
  5. Leicester not won away in league this eason. Going to fun on here if they get that monkey off their back on Sunday.
  6. All forums do, I suspect.
  7. I have a history on this thread of saying that the vote must be upheld, equally I feel I am entitled to a rant about something I fundamentally disagree with. I accept that perhaps the tone of the rant wasn't great, but occasionally this 'snowflake' gets hot enough under the collar over this that he actually melts, so I'll come clean on that. I am not one of those remainers who hopes that the whole Brexit project goes tits up, because that doesn't serve anyone's purpose, but to paraphrase Theresa May in her speech yesterday perhaps it is time for magnanimity in victory in return for acceptance of the legitimacy of the vote, something I have always done. I have enjoyed this thread in a strange way and hope now that it develops into something forward looking rather than point scoring by either side.
  8. I am genuinely interested in what motivates people to vote in this way, simply because I don't get it. Not trying to provoke an argument LDH just would like an insight. GM has alluded to over-regulation by the EU ,as motivation for his views on the subject. The problem is that it always resorts to 'victorious crowing' re reference to 'snowflakes'.
  9. Genuinely interested, how so?
  10. So victory for the small minded, the self interested, the thick and racist bigots.
  11. Anyone else think that the dull football, lacking in penetration we are playing this season has similarities with the Poortvliet/Wotte stuff?
  12. In an ideal world that's how people ought to conduct themselves online, by not saying something on here that they wouldn't say to someones's face. It is the same for all social media, unfortunately that will never be the case. Things have changed over the last ten years, some of it for the better and some of it for the worst because of social media. However it's got the momentum of a juggernaut in those ten years and unfortunately the opportunity for changing online attitudes and behaviours has long since passed. It is what it is, all we can do is rely on individuals to self-regulate or in worst cases be 'moderated' effectively.
  13. So many hidden posts tonight. Didn't notice the same on Wednesday.
  14. Surprised though he didn't start his response with "pony", who the f**k talks let alone posts like that on an internet forum? You're right it is just insult after insult, how tiresome. The use of 'lunatic' and 'nutters' to describe people who just have a different viewpoint from him certainly smacks of a right old, insecure 'Mr Angry'. He and other Brexit supporters routinely refer to those who disagree with them as 'remoaners' and bandy the term 'lefties' around as if it is some kind of crime. It is almost like in their eyes people who object to Brexit are committing some kind of treasonous act, or perhaps that's further on down the line when the right wing seize power and can use internet forums to start identifying and picking off political opponents.

    Dougal

Remember the Dougal Dougal chant when he arrived on Milton Road when I was early teens when first started going on my own. Also Deaf Tony and his Millwall butchers coat. My main recollections of that time were on the coach to home games from Fordingbridge where we went via Andover ffs. There was a a fat guy, name began with P (wannabe skinhead) who would basically torment us younger lads, who ran like a baby when it kicked off on Hill Lane after we lost to Birmingham City in March 74. Now that was wild.
  16. Nah that was his broken nose!
  17. OK what about all the EU citizens currently living and working in the UK? What happens to them?
  18. Always been here to make up the numbers. However much you wish it otherwise we always wil be. Go and support someone else if you can't live with that. Hear there's a couple of good teams in Glasgow, go and give them a watch.
  19. Indeed I was trying to take a similar standpoint. Rushed post tbh.
  20. OP has passed this on in good faith. Not the sort to post on here to just get a reaction. Merely passing on what he has picked up. In some respects I hope it's not true, but accept that it may well be the case. My personal opinion (only an opinion) is that chickens are possibly coming home to roost re Eric Black. Always seemed a strange one considering his track record. A poor fit, considering our way of doing things. Genuinely believe there is a very good manager in Puel. Problem is he is taking more time to adjust than either Pochettino or Koeman and that has given everyone the jitters. That said if CP is serious about making a go of this he has to embrace working in the EPL and not look so readily for excuses like fixture pile ups. They happen! Get a settled side and get shot of Black and things should improve.
  21. The level of triumphalism by those who voted for Brexit is positively infantile. Quite a few of us would like to remain, 48% of the electorate to be exact. Funny how the brexit view is the only one with facts and insight and all we do is moan. Funny old world we live in!
  22. Puel's appointment rang no alarm bells, Black's did. Would like him out of my club, after all he hardly tore up trees in a similar role at Villa, where they played the same soporific disinterested football, and as a manager, well!
  23. Nasty. Heal well, hope it's not too painful. For myself discretion is the better part of valour this time of year. Although not ideal and not everyone's cup of tea a turbo is a worthwhile investment, certainly better than risk hitting the deck
  24. Well teacher, from fellow teacher I understand what you say, but these people post to be provocative to elicit a reaction and then bleat endlessly about the reaction they get. They are like the worst children that I've come across in 36 + years in the profession. I accept what you say about this being a forum but I too am entitled to my opinion. If you bother to trawl through my posts you'll see I am entirely consistent in my responses to these trolls who actually ruin the quality of debate and discussion on this site. Interesting response from you I might say.
