  1. That compilation made me smile.
  2. Midfield need a reset. Downes and Charles doesn't work. They get a foot in as they should and recycle, but but the next bit is where it comes unstuck. Our back four sitting so deep didn't help them and it stifled or capacity to bring Azaz and Fellows into the game particularly in the first half hence the long ball shit to a midget. It seemed like we were playing a double pivot against inferior opposition when we were crying out for more creativity and with both pretty much doing the same thing in similar spaces everything coming through midfield was turgid to say the least. I thought Charles was the better of the two, Flynn Downes? He can fuck off, doesn't seemingly want to be here
  3. So it was better than the fare served at SMS this lunchtime. Seriously though, I would recommend the UKPFE. It was a real mixed bag of a set which was great. Starting off with Money and followed by Take it Back from The Division Bell, the rest of the opening was taken up with most of side 1 of DSotM. First impressions were very favourable. I was wondering particularly how Great Gig in the Sky would go but the female vocalist pretty much nailed the Claire Torry bit which isn’t easy. If I had a criticism she was ever so, ever so slightly screechy at very highest notes. From there it came forward a decade with Yet Another Movie and Sorrow and then High Hopes from The Division Bell before they delved into Wish you Here stuff either side of the interval doing them all justice including the eponymous song. The second half opened with Shine on you Crazy Diamond 1-9 and here the second backing singer deserves absolute kudos with baritone and tenor sax on board at the same time switching between the two almost seamlessly. Then there was a tribute to Syd Barrett with Lucifer Sam before they went full on The Wall. I thought this was excellent from Thin Ice to pt 1 and 2. It was capped off by an excellent version of Comfortably Numb. All in all well Worth it. The venue was surprising. A proper Georgian Corn Exchange reflecting Newbury’s agricultural heritage and its importance in the agricultural revolution with the intro of poor relief through the Speenhamland System. 4. It was, kind of expected it. They play ugly and we’re still finding our feet.
  5. Will chucking the kitchen sink at this.
  6. Seen us play better……last season.
  7. Never had an issue at any Greek airports, my Irish passport is pretty useless though in those as it seems to be Schengen/Non-Schengen.
  8. Fuckin ell, lucky there.
  9. Selles toast. 5 now. Play them soon, we know what happens there then.
  10. Defector turns up dressed as full kit wanker hoping for a game only to be told he can be the brolly carrier.
  11. It's the UK Pink Floyd Experience.
  12. Pink Floyd related. Off to see a Floyd tribute act in Newbury on Saturday. Supposed to be good.
  13. He'll probably go to Arsenal then.
  14. I believe the Germany and England squads were the oldest at the U21 Euros.
  15. A cold beer and a pitta gyros on the first lunchtime of a Greek holiday.
  16. I'm not sure Dr Robotnik is any good on a footy pitch!
  17. What a load of old pony!
  18. That was my thinking when Downes was taken out so late before KO. IRC Edwards did play as a holding midfielder at QPR on occasions last season.
  19. People wanging on about teachers getting paid for school holidays and then refusing to accept that it isn't the case.
  20. Exceeded my expectations - thought we'd get beaten largely because the formation was never going to change and at some point as has happened in previous games wed be outnumbered in midfield. Early days.
  21. I'm far so removed from Stephen politically I ignore the c***. Shame some others constantly find themselves getting into a lather over his jolly antics on social media.
  22. Dont know but its less than £18m.
  23. Wow Carsten Janker has finally signed, can play alongside Rudi Skacel.
  24. Good player, good luck with WHU, you'll need it is much as you did last season. Bought as potential made a good profit, tis the way of the footballing world today. Next!
