Quite!

As far as I'm concerned he got it spot on. What program were the graphics and lines on because they weren't on either the BBC or Sky programs I saw?
-
The linesman was in the perfect position, the camera was not. The linesman made a decent decision, especially as the two players were moving in opposite directions. Rodriguez's shoulder, knee and probably head looks goalside of the defender.

Reed has said we have identified four players to come in. Left Back, Centre Back, Midfielder, Defender. Wouldn't name them. That means four out unless U21 player coming in, if they come off but all make sense.

There is a holiday company in Seattle that leases three First Choice B757s in about 100 first class seat configuration every winter and does about 18 to different destinations, I did one Manchester Washington, Lima (Machu Picu), Guayaquil (Galapagos), Easter Island, Raratonga, Townsville (Barrier Reef), Ayers Rock,Phnom Penh (Killing fields, Ankhor Wat temples) Agra (Taj Mahal) Mombasa, Victoria Falls, Kilimanjaro, Malta, Stansted. Should have also gone to Kathmandu and Petra but security problems caused rescheduling. We carried extra crew, Chef, Catering Asst, Loadmaster, two Engineers, cost must be close to $100k. Lots of itineraries, South America, China, Russia, Asia. I did 36000 miles in 26 days, carried a $95000 float for incidental expenses. Spent about $50000.

Sadly this is pretty much the way it is. Also mixing with players on millions sometimes unsettles players at the lesser clubs.

The camera was at an angle, the linesman was level. He gave it offside. That's the end of it.
-
I probably saw the same as the linesman and thought he wasn't wrong. The frozen picture didn't show the defender stopping and turning and Rodriguez still running which was a split second thing. I would go with the linesman because of his position with Rodriguez between him and the defender.
-
I've seen the replays and there is no way on this earth that those pictures are absolutely conclusive that Rodriguez is onside. The linesman had a better view than anyone, he was absolutely level with Rodriguez, who was nearer to him than the defender, so he could conclusively judge his position and he gave him offside. I would have liked a goal but I think the linesman was correct, because of the movement the camera shows it a lot tighter than it looked in real time however the camera wasn't level and the linesman was. I'm not going to moan about any decision I think the officials got right.
-
No I haven't seen a replay, Either way I couldn't give a toss as it wasn't a goal. I'm happy with the decision.
-
We were yelling at Puncheon to release the ball but he delayed for a few yards which allowed Rodriguez to run offside. I'm happy with the linesmans decision which is real time.
-
I can't see how the camera which wasn't level could be used to adjudicate. The camera was on the halfway line, only a camera level with Rodriguez could be correct. He was offside, which was the reason the linesman gave it.
-
The linesman unfortunately was in Southampton and got it right. It wasn't a goal. Much as I would have liked to have seen it given.
-
I was level with him and he was offside when Puncheon played the pass.
-
Puncheon delayed the pass and he was offside Mike, right opposite so I could see.

Difficult job trying to talk up a basket case falling out the bottom of the leagues, if it gets that far. Be interesting to see how he spins the potential liquidation in due course. Any odds on the Portpin court case. Haven't lost one to date?
-
I was told in confidence and the player is still at the club.
-
So have I. Through a player that was present. Cortese had no choice.
-
Both Pardew and Downes were suspended then subsequently sacked with no comment by either party. There was an incident after the match I believe.
-
one point from the first two home matches wasn't poor?
-
I think people have short memories, a train crash of a pre season, poor results followed by defeats after he left, bottom of the league and Adkins had to turn it around.
-
The fact that Gazzaniga replaced Boruc at WBA with Davis on the bench leads me to think that Adkins views Gazzaniga and Boruc well ahead of Davis. IMO the only way Davis will get back in if the other two perform badly, I can't see it. It would surprise me if Gazzaniga is left out.
-
People see what they want. It's easy to isolate glaring errors. The goal against Swansea and a couple of mistakes v QPR but the rest of his game was decent. A big plus was nothing coming back off him or being beaten at the near post and the save against Fulham was a result changer.
-
Because he came with a reputation, overweight and has proved anything but. I first saw him in the U21 game v MU, I was looking forward to seeing him play but he was a massive disappointment. He then played two first team games that were really poor displays. He needs a big change to make him fit for purpose. If he can recapture previous form, fine, but not from what I've seen to date. Either way the defence has looked better with Gazzaniga in goal, especially Fonte.

Neither Davis or Boruc have shown anything in the matches they have played that would get them in the team. Davis was awful, Boruc was awful against WHU and poor enough against Spurs to get the crowd on his back. Evidence of class is what I'd like to see not pie in the sky. Boruc to date has been a massive disappointment and looks overweight and ponderous. After two months here I would expect to see him slimmed down and unless he has forget it. I'd prefer what we have with Gazzaniga rather than reputations that look well out of date. I'd be surprised if Adkins changes a defence that is improving week on week.
