Maybe a fairer way would be to do away with it altogether and revert to the original scheme where a tax allowance was put on the tax code for every child so the amount of tax paid was reduced. That way those that paid nothing got nothing.

I would think the biggest problem any club will have buying him is the £12m they will have to pay up front. If we had to borrow to pay his fee, that will have to be paid back.

What happens on two fronts 1) the League, saying they will only allow the club into the league if the carried forward charge is reduced but Portpin say no, the £17m charge stands. 2) PKF try to reduce the secured amount. Finally what happens at the court case if Portpin want to take possession of all the assets secured?

That's not what Weston said at all. What he said was in response to the rumours that Adkins had been to a meeting with Cortese. The gist of it was after a training session Adkins and Cortese had their usual chat but that there would be a planned review of the season so far at the end of the month.

They should call it the Reserve Team FA Cup. Our record in the cups of playing weakened sides completely devalues the interest. Unless it's cheap especially if it's on tv I think they will get a half full stadium. It's not worth paying for a devalued product.

I suppose it really depends which team turns up. We were excellent against QPR/NU but not as good v NC. If we play like last Sunday we have a chance of getting something, otherwise?
